How do I make my resolution on my laptop smaller?

I have an HP Pavilion, I did it when I first got my laptop, and it just turned back to really big some how.

right click anywhere on your desktop and choose "properties"

in the window that opens look for the tab "settings" there you can change the resolution and color settings.

this is how its done on xp but in case youre using vista, i assume it is done the same way.

Click > START

Select >SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>DISPLAY

Select the tab > SETTINGS

In the lower left quadrant of th window, under the heading SCREEN RESOLUTION, move the slider to the MORE side.

Click > OK

Your screen will go briefly black, then re-display to the adjusted resolution.
