Which plant is this??

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb306/x__VampyrePrincess/planythingie.jpg

I know there are hundreds of species of that plant, and it apparently it has a "funny" name, according to my friend.
It's not a flower, it's a plant.

If a child no longer believes in Santa Claus (but has sibilings that do) should they still receive gifts from Santa? Is it fair to either of the two to deny the child gifts from Santa?

My reason for asking is because my step mom is telling her 12 year old he is only getting 3 presents for Christmas this year because he no longer believes in Santa Claus, while his brother and sister will still be receiving 5 because they do believe in Santa. I personally don't think it's fair to him. I come from a family that have family members getting gifts from Santa and they're in their 50's. I don't understand why she is going to do this to her child, she knows that he will through a fit if the other two get more then him, so why not just be fair to the kids?

Do they ask for I.D when they think you are under age?
Or do they ask for I.D every time you get something done?
For example: A 15 year old goes to get her tongue pierced
but she can pass for an 18 to 20 year old.. would they take her just
as how old she looks or do they just I.D every person?

My mom wanted to be in the room when I gave birth but I only wanted her there when I was in labor. She was pissed and left the hospital and refused to come see us and the baby afterwards. My bf was really hurt by this cause his family was in India and couldn't be there though they wanted too really bad. Here my mom was right down the road and refused to come. He's really mad at her cause of that, and she's mad at him cause he was in the room and apparently she thought she deserved to be there more. She's also extremely mad at me. I feel like I got stuck in the middle and all I was trying to do was survive labor and delivery. I was shocked when after giving birth I realized no one in my family was even there to celebrate. I'm also hurt, but I feel like I need to do something to patch all these relationships. Any advice, suggestions, comments?

OK, so English is not my first language, but I enjoy spending a lot of my time reading books and I enjoy watching "quality TV" (documentaries especially on animals) because it is interesting. I hate idiotic, stupid, offensive shows. But anyway, since I read a lot I pick up a lot of new words and they NATURALLY become part of my vocabulary. Then, when I happen to talk to my husband he always tells me that I am making up words because he has never heard the ones I use. I do not do it to sound smart as he says, it is just that I have NO WAY of knowing if a word is "fancy" or not (I read it in books or hear it on TV and assume it is correct to use). So, when this happens I go get the vocabulary and show my husband that I am not making up words! How would this make you feel? For example, have you ever heard the word "conciliate"? How about "diurnal"? "Crepuscular"? Do you have to look these words up? Any thoughts, suggestions? Thank you!

I'm at risk of being overweight so you could call me fat. I really want to loose some weight by Christmas. But I don't really know what to do to loose weight. I want to loose at least 10 pounds by x-mas and get rid of some fat. So does anyone know what I have to do? Like what exercises and how much?

Hello, all:

Are Southern Baptists focussed on faith more than works? The other way around? Or are both considered equally important?

Thank you in advance to everyone who takes the time to respond.

I just got my US Permanent Resident card - got myself 1 full-time job and 2 part-time jobs (as independent contractor). Will each of my employer withhold Federal & State tax? Will each of them withold Social Security & Medicare?

If yes, is there a chance that they might "over-withold"? And if so, will refunds be difficult? I am just starting out in the US and I have been searching website after website and could not find a simple website for one with limited financial understanding.

Help!! And thanks in advance to all!
