keyless entry?

do i need to have factory power door locks to use the keyless entry or can i leave that function unused until i get an aftermarket power door lock system?

I am not aware of any cars built with keyless entry which DON'T have power locks. The keyless entry would not work without them therefore it would be a waste of time and money for the company to install it. I think you need to check with the dealer. If you purchased the car used maybe the previous owner lost the clicker, or sold it on EBay for beer money as one idiot on here admitted to when he asked if the car was worth less without it.
