hmmmm lets see. I'm in religion alot... Actually I want it to be my minor in college.. (additional info that you might want to know before making assumptions) Okay.. Jehovah Witnesses? actually i have about 4 questions..

-What are their major beliefs?
-Would you consider them hypocritical?
-Why are they strict about personal involvements{Ex. They would allow their children go out with a non-Jehovah Witness}but they say It doesn't really matter(which goes back to being hypocritical)

Please don't send me some bullshit websites.. I already researched some crap that made no sense at all. I want other people's perspectives and I'm hoping you guys can help me out

I know I'll get theanswers from kids based on what they have been taught & that's great, but I'm looking for replies from people that know about the subject.

My aunt is an RN, late 50's, and a smoker of 30 years... with no trace of COPD. My grandfather lived to be 85 and smoked since he was 12, no respiratory problems.

My aunt says that medical experts and scientists don't really KNOW what causes emphysema and if you talk to one they will tell you they think it CAN increase your chances of developing the disease, but aren't even sure by what %. I have read her med journals that skate around the subject.

She says people that don't smoke and live in highly industrialized cities get it as often as people that smoke. She says she's treated as many patients with emphysema that didn't smoke as ones that did, many of those not subjected to 2nd hand smoke

Does smoking CAUSE emphysema or not? I know I'll get "if you smoke, you'll die", but I'm hoping for educated input

Ive read several post where many people disagree on whether a "fishy" odor is normal. Anyone with the right knowledge, please answer. I need to know b/c I have that odor and to be honest, it disgusts the crap out of me but whatever I do, it doesnt go away! I have gotten tested for STDs and other infections but they are always negative. I dont know what to do anymore.....its driving me nuts! Hi I have an emachines desktop (5years old) with 1.8ghz intel celeron processor and 1gb ram, however my computer is running slow, eg if I have one program up and try to open another it takes a while to appear, also when cancelling one will also take a while, I thought the the processor and ram I have would be powerful enough. I have cleaned up everything, defragged and have latest anti virus and spyware programs, so I have carried out all the usual steps to speed up to no avail, any ideas please?

lately I have heard a lot of the term "militant" atheist. It seems that if atheists (such as Dawkins, Harris, Hitchens) speak up, we're "militant" (not withstanding the fact that it's the religious nuts strapping on the bomb vests). Is this just the latest attempt (ala insisting Hitler was an atheist) by Christians to smear us?

Hi! I am studying French Spanish and Italian at the moment and wondered what, after my degree, are the highest paid jobs that might be open to me. All I can find on the internet are jobs of 20k as a teacher or something and I want to know what is out there that is really good money and a really cool job.

I also study a fashion make-up diploma, but that is just for fun really!
