Lucky you for just having to show up! I make most of the food but I am sure my daughter will bring something yummy too and help clean up the kitchen.. (<--a hint to you!) ;)

I think the best way to contribute, [Especially when you are going to a parent or older relatives house] is to do the dishes! Hey it's an early Christmas present and it might just snag you an extra plate of leftovers to take home! : )

In years past my sil has insisted no one bring anything. This year her husband kicked her to the curb so my mil is making dinner. She wants us to bring stuff. So I'm bringing pie. MMM pie.

contribute in one way or another. If there is nothing I can bring, I am sure to do most of the cleaning up after the meal.

We don't have Thanksgiving in the UK but I'd never turn up empty handed if I was invited to someones house.
