According to the JERF web site(James Randi Educational Foundation) it will not deposit this million dollars in Escrow, display in cash, or provide proof in any way in advance of a test that the money exists. In fact it doesnt, its in the form of bonds, not cash.
James Randi is a showman, not a scientists. According to James Randi himself, scientists are not qualified to test for Paranormal Proof since they are easily duped.
In the introduction of the rules to his challenge it states, "all tests must be designed in such a way that the results are self evident and no judging process is required! Most scientific research depends on statistical results that need to be anylized by experts to judge the significance of what happened.
The contender has to pay all expenses involved with getting to the JREF and while staying there as well while being tested.
Rule 7 says: when entering this challenge the applicant urrenders any and all rights to legal action against Randi.( do not answer yet

I am pretty introverted. I like keeping to myself for the most part unless I am around people that I feel that I can really converse with and relate to. The ironic part is that I have found myself in bad conflicts with other people because of my personality type. Because I like to be left alone, I have been around people who are consistently in my face when they need attention and don't know how to back off. This sometimes causes me to blow up in anger because I spend alot of time thinking and being quiet so I lack the skills that it takes to communicate my thoughts in the best way. I end up "sticking my foot in my mouth" so to speak when I have to communicate exactly what is bothering me with the person whom I have the issue with. Does anyone else find that having a more introverted personality leads to this kind of proble

Are they related?

I have very finely tuned intuitive responses and my intuition usually serves me well, in that I make a fair few decisions based on what my gut instinct is telling me without any real hard evidence, and later my decisions are substantiated by the outcomes.

But sometimes it would appear that some people believe their intuition is telling them something when the reality is much, much different. Like for example, the jealous spouse who imagines his partner is cheating with no evidence whatsoever to back it up and the partner isn't cheating?

So where is the line crossed and when does intuition become paranoia?

A couple lived near the ocean and used to walk the beach a lot. One summer they noticed a girl who was at the beach pretty much every day. She wasn't unusual, nor was the travel bag she carried, except for one thing; she would approach people who were sitting on the beach, glance around furtively, then speak to them. Generally the people would respond negatively and she would wander off, but occasionally someone would nod and there would be a quick exchange of money and something she carried in her bag. The couple assumed she was selling drugs, and debated calling the Cops, but since they didn't know for sure they just continued to watch her.
After a couple of weeks the wife said, "Honey, have you ever noticed that she only goes up to people with boom boxes and other electronic devices?"
He hadn't, and said so.
Then she said, "Tomorrow I want you to get a towel and our big radio and go lie out on the beach. Then we can find out what she's really doing."
Well, the plan went off without a hitch and the wife was almost hopping up and down with anticipation when she saw the girl talk to her husband and then leave. The man walked up the beach and met his wife at the road.
"Well, is she selling drugs?" she asked excitedly.
"No, she's not," he said, enjoying this probably more than he should have.
"Well, what is it, then? What does she do?" his wife fairly shrieked.
The man grinned and said, "Her name is Sally, and she's a battery salesperson."
"Batteries?" cried the wife.
"Yes . . ." he replied . . .
"She sells C cells down by the seashore."

Please know that I have brought sexy clothes, danced for him, stripped for him etc. He does take the bait, and the whole thing is over in 2mins. I have talked to him for 2 years. I have been begging him to go on a vacation. He refused. I had a heart to heart with him two weeks ago. It didn't help, back at square one. Thank you guys for your comments. but, I have reached a decision, I'm leaving him today. I've been planning for awhile. My husband won't be home until 12mid. I have packed, emptied my account (we have separated accounts), I have brought two airline tickets. Me and my son will leave at 8pm. tonight. I took a leave of absence from my job just in case I want to return. Going to leave with a relative until I get settle. I feel that my mind will snap if I don't leave. Guys pray for me. If this is wrong, why do I feel so good. Comments?

Two books of the 20th century complained of certain members of society being parasites:

One says -
"..under whose parasitism the whole of honest humanity is suffering, today more than ever, (because of)______"
" (These people) are a parasite on the body of others" and "are forced to deny their true nature."

Book 2 says:
(These people) are "less than fully human." (They) "live in a state inferior to their own capabilities". They are "Not people", they "aquire their status vicariously" as "parasites".

So, best answer goes to the person who identifies both books, and tells me whether he/she thinks that both authors, just one, or neither author should be condemned.

Okay, I'm looking to get a medium format camera. I'm not incredibly knowledgeable about them, but I do have a few things that I would like in a camera.
First of all I can't spend more than $1300.
Also I think that there are some medium formats that you can change out the backs so you can shoot 4x5? If I could find a camera with that capability, that would be wonderful.
I am also drawn to the square format, so a 6x6 would be preferred.
Are there any cameras that meet this criteria?

Why are people saying to include silly string in care packages for the detection of trip wires?

Is this true or a bunch of crap?

US Post Office says no aerosal products period.

I think I will stick to either sending snacks & junk food or magazines/books/newspapers or personal care packages.
