Unfortunately, it's part of being a woman. On top of bloating, many get stomach cramps. You are retaining water. You maybe eating more because you are growing and because of nutrient loss. You will also find that when you are around other women, like in an office situation or new circle of friends, your period cycle will tend to change with those around you is you spend enough time together. As you get older, it generally gets easier to deal with, mainly because your body is adjusting and you are more comfortable and use to the changes. Aspirin helps a bit

Take Pamprin, that helps my worst cramps. Doctors also recommend ibuprofen every four hours continuously while PMSing and during your period. If you're having irregular periods you should see a gynecologist. They can give you something to help (like birth control pills). You can go to the doctor for female things without your parent's permission, just go if you can get there.

How old are you ... I am guessing that you are mid teens and have been in menses for just a few years or less ..... Your mother needs to take you for a good exam with a gynecologist preferably a woman .... and she can help you ...put you on the pill and it will regulate your periods and cut down on a lot of the bad side effects ...If she refuses see your school nurse and talk w/ her ....she may intercede for you with your mother ... you need help and all this feeling lousy will go away ... there is no reason that you have to put up with it ....

Have you ever been to a gynecologist? Ask your mom to make you an appointment, it takes time for your body to regulate your periods for some girls a year or two, but it wouldn't hurt to see a gyn and perhaps they could give you some helpful information. I hope your mom goes with you,she may learn a thing or two also!

do you get pms right before your period too? because sometimes I get it before and after for a couple weeks its like a never ending cycle haha but if its really worrying you, you could talk to your doctor the next time you go in for a physical or whatever but i don't think its that big of a deal to go to the doctor just for that. the only thing i can think of to help you is midol ...otherwise its just the price you have to pay for being a girl sorry if i wasnt much help

Your mum needs to take you to the doctors I think. How old are you? If you have been menstruating for some time, then they shouldn't be this frequent. Sometimes though, when you've only had a few, they can be irregular.
You may need the pill or mini pill to regulate it but it's best if the doctor checks you over first.
Good luck.

There are herbs you can take to alleviate your symptoms. One is called Evening primrose oil and the other is called Agnus Castus (sold as Vitex). Both can be found in capsule form and can be found in a health food store or pharmacy. There are also herbal teas you can take and foods you can eat-I found this website below that may do well to help you out.
Good luck :)

Go to the school nurse and ask her if she knows a way to get birth control pills without parental consent.
These pills help SOOOO much. There's no ups and downs during the month, and the period, if I allow it to come at all, is 3 days long and lite as a feather.
TX Mom
I don't usually condone disobeying parents, but in this case it may be necessary.

Midol really helps and it is safe and over the counter...I don't know how old you are but some forms of birth control will shorten your period and will help with the p.m.s. even if you don't need it for pregnancy protection. Please take to your mom and if you are having that many problems then you should go see a gyno. I hope this helps.
