our plumbing is backed up so i knocked on the landlords door this morning and she wasnt home/ when i got home from work i tried and plunged and everything from the sink to the toilet is backe dup. I knocked on her door and she said... why does this have to happen on the weekend i cant get a plumber out there til monday.... is this true? or is she saying thsi to sve money for emergency weekend calls? it has happened before and we went 3 days and i had to drive to gas stations to use the stupid restrooms... i think this is UNcalled for?WHo is right? Who is wrong?

Its brownish an its on a cotton white jacket an i found it on a shirt that i had just out of the blue. I dont remember spilling something brownish. Its faded now i actualy got rid of it but it must have sunk backthrough the fibers cause its there again just faded. Its tiny spots of it. How should i get it out?

I have some clips for my No.1 uniform belt for cadets, but one brass will only stay a matt brass colour (even when using Brasso - brass polish) and the other is shiny. The pair therefore look a bit dodgy.

She was the best teacher I have ever had. I almost became a teacher because of her. I am currently in med school but plan to teach as well, all because of what a great influence she had on me, even though it was so long ago. I found out she retired, and haven't been able to get ahold of her to even send her a card or something. Anybody know what I could/should do to contact her? I just want to give her the biggest thank you ever!

Back in the original Star Trek series with William Shatner, there was a girl who was on at least one episode (maybe more) who "dated" Kirk. She was blond, had really blue eyes and all I know about her is that she apparently had her pilot's license in real life. Does anyone know this woman's name? Thanks.

I work in a large hotel and I had to stay there for a night last week. There's a manager there that flirts with me a lot. I got up early and was headed out to get something to eat a little after 630 am. When I got to the door someone knocked very gently and said "room service" almost whispering. I recognized his voice, so I just let him open the door and looked at him mean. He looked really embarrassed and mumbled something about "just checking rooms" and walked away really fast. I waited at the door for a while and didn't hear him open any other doors on my floor, but I know there were other empty rooms.

Here's the thing:
He didn't have to be at work until 7, and it was still 2 hours before he was supposed to check the rooms.
He had the list of rooms in his hand that had my name and room number on it.

What do you think he was up to?? Normally, I would still have been asleep (that's why you wait to check rooms until later.)

Its pronounced eh-see-ah,the strongest part of the name is the SEE in the middle not & I repeat not the E at the beginning so dumbo's stop saying it sounds like easy.Also it's not remotely trashy..names like Candybell or Ferrari are!Its not a variation of Asia..I made this name up, all names were! Im not using the horrible current trend of taking original names & being Kreeaytyff with their spelling.If you still dont like the name give a good side to your argument or why answer?

Hello

I'm making an appointment to get porcelain veneers on my top 6 teeth in a couple of weeks. My dentist charges $650 per tooth. I want them whiter and slightly reshaped. Now, my question is... I want to get the lightest shade possible, but will it look fake?

I ask because I'm listening to "Police & Thieves" by the Clas which was orginally a ska song that they managed to make into a fantastic punk song. But, I mean the genre has to be REALLY different. So a death metal cover of a doom metal song shouldn't be included, and I'm going to force myself to resist putting punk covers of "classic" rock or proto-punk songs.

But, as much as I love that one I'll say my favorite inter-genre cover is Bob Marley's "Johnny Was" as performed by Stiff Little Fingers. This one sounds nothing like reggae at all, but it's a great great song. It lasts 7 minutes without getting old or repeating itself over and over. With all the stuff they add to it they still keep all the soul too, and its still a moving song.

Other notables:
"My Way" - Sid Vicious (far cry from Sinatra)
"12 Days Of Christmas" - The Yobs (a punked up "adult" version)
"Lipstick On Your Collar" - The Saints (one of my favorite songs, punk but a faitful cover)
