Focus on studying, and maintain a good relationship with all your teachers. Get everything in on time, and if you do your best, you'll end up surviving. But ignore fashion and popularity - spend too much time on them, and you might end up very popular - among the garbage-collectors.

Barely.

It gets better around 11th grade and is at its best in 12th -- especially if you are planning to go to college.

Do your best and get into all the AP classes you can so that at least you can keep your mind happy by feeding it well.

High school is rough on everyone, and I have no idea why. Just know that everyone is miserable inside much of the time and happy the rest of the time in high school.

Go ahead and do things that please you and don't worry about how cool or uncool they may appear to others. You probably won't see them again except for ten years later at a reunion, when you will be surprised to see how cool the uncool people are and how, uh, sad? the cool people are -- they may not feel sad, but you will feel sad for them -- let's say they will seem old and boring to you, and the uncool people, who have been pursuing their own interests, will be lively and interesting, and that's what keeps us young; and every 20 years thereafter, when you will feel a certain human warmth toward them,

I often wonder how I survived myself. One suggestion is to diversify. Join a variety of groups and activities, that way you have a variety of people you will be friendly with. Do the school work, that way you will have more opportunities for higher education (college, by the way, is a lot of fun!). Try to keep open a line of communication with your parents or a trusted adult in your family, that way you will have someone with whom to confide in. It might seem like adults don't know what's going on, but chances are they do remember. And they love you, so they are likely to try their best to help you. Try to engage in sports or some physical activity. This releases hormones in your body which actually help you feel better. Keep a journal, it could be a photo journal, video journal, be creative. Someday you might look back on these times and realize it wasn't all bad.

Good luck!

Just go each day and make it thru doing the best you can and keep in the back of your mind that in 5 years, none of the petty stuff you deal with now will matter at all. Just focus on the positive people at school and ignore the others.
