Im naming my girl Esia. Do you like it.

READ BEFORE ANSWERING;
Its pronounced eh-see-ah,the strongest part of the name is the SEE in the middle not & I repeat not the E at the beginning so dumbo's stop saying it sounds like easy.Also it's not remotely trashy..names like Candybell or Ferrari are!Its not a variation of Asia..I made this name up, all names were! Im not using the horrible current trend of taking original names & being Kreeaytyff with their spelling.If you still dont like the name give a good side to your argument or why answer?

Thank you for any honest input, I appreciate your answer :)

Wow, I love it!
I think Esia is a lovely name, very beautiful and classy. At first I thought it would be pronouced like Asia, but this pronouciation is way better!
Esia is gorgeous but the only problem may be that people will have trouble pronoucing it. Otherwise I love Esia. It's not trashy or ridiculous, but just the opposite! Elegant and lovely.
I really love this name, and I hope you will go with it!

Very pretty name . Yes people will mispronounce but so what? My son's name is Jamin - Jay- Min. - It is misprounced all of the time ( jah -mean), but correct and move on. Very few people pronounce my first or last name right either - it is FeLEEcia - they say Felicia. And neither of my names are spelled right - even by co-workers that I have worked with for over 10 years! But I like having a name different than most anyone!

I don't want to say anything bad about it because you made it up and like it. However, I will tell you that it's definatly not my style. I think that this name is a little hard to pronounce and your daughter is going to have to correct the pronuciation her whole life. It does look like it's pronounced "Easy-ah " and that is more than likely what people are going to call her. Maybe you could make it her middle name?

It is unique. (I think a bit too unique, but bearable.) But, of course, its Esia who will decide whether she likes it or not. And if she likes it, then other's opinions won't matter. I think it sounds like one of the Hebrew names in the Bible. It kind of rolls around your tongue in that familiar, motion that I can't place. There are, of course, sites that have thousands of baby names. I think you might be interested. Just search for "baby names" with Google; there are at least ten sites. However, I tried a few searches and Esia didn't come up once. ...But now I sort of do like Esia... it rolls all over the place... But it feels good.

I'm sorry, but when I first read the name I thought it was "Ease-ya", kinda like Asia.

You can name your child whatever you want, but she will be the one who has to explain the pronunciation to the dumbos out there.

Its lovely, very unique! Have you a middle name for her? Atleast when she starts school there wont be any other Esia's! Call your girl what you want sod everyone else! If our baby is a girl we are going to call her Isla (eye la), everyones saying she will be called Is la because of the spelling, so? If you tell everyone her name and how you pronouce it when they first meet her, whats the problem and if someone comes across her and cant pronouce her name she will be able to tell them, not all kids have that pleasure with common names!!! Good luck to you and baby Esia xxx

i think it's a cool name and ur right candybell and ferrari are retarded names.
and also like u i made up a name and alot of people liked it and alot of people weren't fond of it.
The name was (f)Nominella (m)Renee (n)(Nomi)
people thought it was a cool name (for the celebrities babies) and i said "well why isn't it a good name for a regular child, children are the start of this universe anyway so they should be treated like celebrities" (but not spoiled rotton either because then they will end up like britney, lindsey, or paris).

she'll have to go through life always having to spell and pronounce her name for teachers, etc... if you're okay with that go for it.
