i'm confused on this idea that people make a choice to be gay. the reasoning given is that it is not natural because only men and women can procreate. this idea just seems to open a whole can of worms of side topics though. first on the issue of gayness being a choice, to say that would imply that heterosexuality is a choice as well. and if that's the case you can't really argue that heterosexuality is natural. i don't believe nature is open to choice. example, if i drop a ball, the natural thing for the ball to do is fall to the ground. the ball does not have a choice. on the argument that only male/female couples can procreate, shouldn't this statement be reworded? it is a rather broad field. why not just go one step further and say only humans can create humans? so two humans of the same sex can create another human. of course not. only a man and a woman can create another human? of course not. only a potent man and a fertile woman can reproduce? yes.

what can i do? we adopted a yellow lab, age 13 months and he has tried to bite me once and my husband once. we just got him home and had these problems. i cant even get a leash on him to get him outside. any tips? i'm not sure what to do. he seems scared so i've been leaving him alone, but I will need to take him out soon to potty and i'm terrified he will bite me. help? anyone?

Here are my questions:
1. Which party do you belong to?

2. Do you realize that Global Warming is a fact and is happening?

3. If you do not think that Global Warming is real, then how do you explain the following:
a. melting Arctic
b. delayed cold weather in New England (it was early November and we were still in t-shirt weather)
c. extended droughts in the Southeast states
d. extended droughts in the Southwest states
e. the California wild fires (realizing, of course, that they were started by a child, but they wouldn't have been that bad had the weather pattern been normal, and not as dry as it was)

4. If you are Republican/Conservative and do not believe in Global Warming, then what about God giving us this planet to be good stewards? What does "good steward" mean to you if not keeping the planet from getting over polluted?

The Bible says the man should be the head of household. My husband strongly desires to be the head of household. The problem is unless it involves sex he does not know how to be a leader or take charge. He misunderstands 90% of whatever I tell him. He always "thinks" I said this or "thought" I meant that. He drops the ball a lot and everytime he justifies it by saying he didn't understand and/or I should have explained or done it this way or that way. Instead of asking in order to get a better understanding, he'd rather sit back and assume or just not deal with it at all.

For instance, bills are one of our biggest problems. We bought a new home seven months ago. We knew when we moved in things were going to be tight for a year or two. I thought we were BOTH on the same page as far as sacrifices, but we weren't. He has done nothing but whine about how we should have stayed in the apartment. About how we never have money to play. He'd rather eat out than buy things for the house.

My fiance and I both own our houses. When we get married, we intend to sell both houses and buy a new one to move in together. Of course, there's a good chance that the timing won't work out between buying and selling houses. I want to avoid any capital gain issues (or any other tax issues, for that matter). What do I need to watch for? If my house sells early, how long can I "sit" on the proceeds of the sale before I have to invest it in a new house? What other "gotchas" do I need to be aware of?
