the internet has brought about a new age, one where we can instantly share our ideas with anyone, as far as "pills" i do see a growing number of people who are becoming emotionally dependant on medication such as xanax, which in my opinion has no real clinical use at all, just a bunch of people that have been taught that they cannot control their anxiety without medication, and for global warming, its just part of the ecological changes our planet is undergoing

Yes it has become a religion and Al Gore is the pope of the cult.Think of how much money certain groups will make off of the hype.Think of all that government money going to "research".Besides there is only so much you can do ,after all whoever controls the weather controls the world.Fear is the best political motivator. Climate change is part of the nature of the planet.Common sense is to have clean energy but until there is a buck in it all that happens is talk, talk and more talk.Government regulations, fines and penalties(gotta get that bailout money somewhere) We certainly need clean air and water .I am the original recycler and I don't waste energy just like many other people.I use energy and don't go for the "guilt" trip of doing so. I have a problem with Gore the guru who flies around a fuel guzzling jet.So does Queen Pelosi who opted for a bigger one to fly back and forth to California.Remember her saying she wants to save the planet, yeah she flies we walk.We can all start by using the new energy saving light bulbs. Oh I forgot they are the ones with mercury in them.Oh,well seems like a good idea at the time. I guess you all heard that some genius politician wanted to tax cow farmers for any that own more than 100 for emitting "methane gas" yeah it's true. Can we bottle it instead?Or on second thought send some from the bull to that politician as he knows the B.S. when he sees or smells it.

Hi.
That may very well be the case but I am afraid that the main religion today in the world is the group of people that worship Mammon. That includes also those that think they are Christians or Muslims or whatever other religion people claim to adhere to. This is very sad and the root of many problems.

Pills, taken legally and illiaglly; Are a growing problem but i would not consider them a religion, ever. One of the kids i went to school died of an overdose of OxyContin. A perscription pain killer for cancer patients. Why are drugs being given out freely enough that hes was very easily able to obtain enough to kill himself? I think the government is afraid to even admit that that is a huge problem right now, not marijuana.
Then theres drugs like Ritalin and Adderall that being given out like candy. Or the anti-depressants, one of the boy shooters at Columbine was taking them for a year before, he started developing those violent thoughts while he was taking them.

The people who call global warming a religion as a way of mocking it, are often the same people who defend religion tooth and nail...The irony is not lost on me

Global Warming is a horrible tragedy, it should be important reality to every single person who lives on this planet, and I don't know why you would consider it a religion.

This planet is our only home--think what you are doing each and every day to destroy it and change those habits.

Global warming is just another form of 'Gia' earth worship. Sacrifice your carbon offset, lest Earth be angered and smite you.

I think you are very much on to something. we know with gw, it has a high priest (gore) who at his lest word many are ready to sacrifice all INCLUDING their first born if he says we are too many and over stressing this poor old world. With pills, and youtube, both are far more important to most than the God who gave them life.
