Why is race, sex, age, and retaliation discrimination so widespread at law firms? In recent months, law firms SulmeyerKupetz, Kaye Scholer, Jackson Lewis, Loeb and Loeb, Charlston Revich & Chamberlin and law firm supplier Chosen Few (Snow Orchard) have all been accused of discrimination against Blacks; meal period violations; and state bar violations.

Writing this for a friend because I don't know what to tell them.
They were sexually assaulted and almost raped and the cops don't seem to be doing anything. One was about 2 or 1 year ago now and the other weeks ago.
What do you do? Call the cops and ask em why nothing is happening?

A redneck was stopped by a game warden in Arkansas recently with two ice chests of fish. He was leaving a cove well known for its fishing.
The game warden asked the man, "Do you have a license to catch those fish?"
"Naw, sir, I ain't got none of them there licenses, no. You must understand these here are my pet fish."
"Pet fish?" said the game warden.
"Yeah . Every night I take these here fish down to da lake and let them swim 'round for a while. Then I whistle and they jump rat back into this here ice chest and I take them home."
"That's a bunch of hooey! Fish can't do that!" says the warden.
The redneck looked at the game warden for a moment and then said, "It's the truth Mr. Government man, I'll show you. It really works."
"Okay," said the game warden, "I've GOT to see this!"
The redneck poured the fish into the lake and stood and waited.
After several minutes, the game warden turned to him and said, "Well?"
"Well, what?" said the redneck.
The warden said, "When are you going to call them back?"
The redneck said, "Call who back?"
"The FISH!" replied the warden.
"What fish?" answered the redneck.
(We in Arkansas may not be as smart as some city slickers, but we aren't as dumb as some government employees.)

This winter I'm taking over the planning of a family ski trip to Vermont. I want to ski Sugarbush and hopefully Mad River but am having trouble deciding which would be cheaper: renting a condo or staying in a hotel (4 people, 5 days, 4 nights). I have a sister that has 3 kids, and is in bad shape. I want to help her, and would like to propose that I would adopt her 2 small kids so she can get ahead in life easier, at the same time allowing her to keep in touch with the kids, 2 an 8 months old. She had 2 abusive marriages, and is in the process of breaking away from the last one. I see it as a win-win situation... but I am concerned about emotional issues. She's in a different country, and adoption seems like the best idea, so far. Her other child is old enough to take care of herself pretty much, although still a minor. What do you think? I want to offer those kids and my sister a better life. So far I can't bring her here, but I might be able to bring the kids that way.

An example is the video Frontier Psychiatrist by The Avalanches ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8BWBn26bX0 ) If the link is deleted search for the video on Youtube. At the beginning of the video the actors appear as though they're in a black and white movie, however you can plainly see colour in the background, it appears it's done through a combination of stage light colours. Any ideas?

A man goes to Africa on a safari. While there, he comes upon an elephant, in great pain, with a giant thorn in its foot. Rather than shoot it to get the trophy he came for, the man very carefully approaches the elephant and gingerly removes the thorn from its foot.
The elephant begins to limp away, but then turned and stared at the man for a full minute, locking eyes with him. The elephant then continues on its way.
"I wonder if I ever see that elephant again if it will remember me?" the man muses to himself.
Twenty few years later the man is at a circus back in the States. He notices that one of the elephants keeps looking at him, almost like it knows him.
The man wonders, "Could this be that elephant I helped so long ago?" He decides to get a closer look.
With the elephant still giving him the stare down, the man moves in closer, getting right up in front of the elephant. They lock eyes. A knowing look seems to cross the elephant's face.
The elephant reached down... picked the man up carefully with its trunk... lifts him high in the air... then throws him crashing to the ground and stomps him to death!
Turns out it wasn't the same elephant.

w/o paying attention to the label on the hand lotion which contain some kind of tanning -tint - coloring agent in it i lotioned my hands my palms r now orange colored. i have scrubbed very hard & of course stopped using the lotion .
