Hi. I need help, and my insurance company just lets the phone ring...so does my condo management company...so any help will be appreciated! My downstairs neighbor's ceiling under my toilet fell down a bit--the cement is exposed now. He says he doesn't have homeowner's insurance (even though he owns his condo). I called a plumber who said it wasn't my seal, but rather pipe lower down at the "elbow" (whatever that means) and that it was cracked. He repaired it...for 630.00. Now, my neighbor wants me to pay to fix his ceiling too, plus my condo association says that since the pipe was coming from my toilet, they are not responsible either. My homeowner's insurance people, when I called them before I knew what was wrong, said if it has to do with the toilet it's a "maintenance" issue which is not covered. Is this true? Any part of this sound off to any of you experts? :) Thanks!

Im in a confusion. Imagine if two objects were squashed when dropped and both returned to their original states.
However, one of them deformed less in comparison to the other before it returned to its original state.
Does this mean that the object that deformed less is more elastic, does this also mean that it will lose less energy to the surroundings?

I keep on telling him to go pee in his toilet, I even put his toilet where he usually hides to go pee or poo, I tried sitting with him on the big toilet too but he sits and runs off after a second. I also have told him that I will give him candy if he goes to pee in the toilet, but no it doesnt work, should I leave him wet after he pees on the carpet, maybe that way he will get tired of walking around wet and finally go to the toilet, any suggestions?

I have been caring for my 3 year old niece for a year because her mother neglected her and let her boyfriends abuse her. No her mom claims to be a changed woman, but I don't know. She flew up yesterday with her new man and my niece HID from her when she heard her voice and she does this to know one else. We went out to lunch and my sister and her boyfriend were very lovey dovey and kept on saying very nasty things that a 3 year old shouldn't be hearing. I secretly recorded them with my cell-phone because I was really suspicous of her. My sister is staying in a hotel with her boyfriend until we meet in court on Saturday. Can I use this evidence to prove that she is still too wrapped around her boyfriend and that her daughter is still scared of her? Or is this useless?

I read somewhere that I could receive up to 18,500 a year in Financial Aid for Graduate school. I work full time and made some good money last year, but only enough to survive really. Is this 18,500 bases on financial need, or is it available to anyone no matter what the income level you earned in a year?

How much of ability is talent versus practice?
According to this article: http://scienceblogs.com/cortex/2006/08/talent_and_practice.php
Genetic talent has little or nothing to do with expert ability. Do you believe that?
And also, is reaction time something that can be trained, or does it require inate ability? Or does it require early training to acquire, and just can't be acquired later in life?

and what are all the degrees? I've heard of undergraduate, bachelor's, and advanced but I don't understand what all that means, and how many degrees can you get and whatever else you can tell me about the way college works; see I want to join the CIA, but they emailed me and told me I need a bachelor's degree and an advanced degree, and training in foreign languages ... and since my initial plan was already to join the army first (I'm 19 now) I'm thinking about joining within 6 months to a year... and using the military's college benefits to take classes as a foundation for a career as a CIA operative, but I'm kind of stressed because I never took tours of colleges or anything in high school. Also I was wanting to use Rosetta Stone software to learn other languages, but I think the CIA wants a mininum of three, and the most important three would be Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.. but with good rosetta stone software all those would be up to $1500, does college have language courses?

I'm trying to connect to the internet on a computer with Windows 98.

I have a computer already connected with Windows XP (the connection works great).

The DSL router has a cable going to the switch and there are ethernet cables going from the switch to the Windows 98 computer and to the XP computer.

The gateway IP is correct and I can ping the XP computer from the 98 machine but I can't access any websites.

What is the problem?

Let me tell you a little story.

Once upon a time, my mother told me how she came to be an atheist: when she was a child, the priest in her church told the congregation that anyone who wasn't a Christian was going to Hell. "That meant my father was going to Hell," she told me. "And I KNEW that couldn't be true, because he was the best man I knew."

My mother raised four children. All have advanced degrees, all are productive citizens. She founded two environmental activist organizations, traveled around the world, and was beloved my many on three continents until she died at the age of 76. She was out riding her bicycle when a woman in an SUV barreled through a stop sign and slammed into her and killed her.

How do I know the Christians are wrong? Same way Mom did.
