I keep on telling him to go pee in his toilet, I even put his toilet where he usually hides to go pee or poo, I tried sitting with him on the big toilet too but he sits and runs off after a second. I also have told him that I will give him candy if he goes to pee in the toilet, but no it doesnt work, should I leave him wet after he pees on the carpet, maybe that way he will get tired of walking around wet and finally go to the toilet, any suggestions?

I have already used pull ups didnt work, and I will not spank him if he does not want to pee in the toilet, that will just scare him even more. And he is not mentally handicapped. I just have a stubborn little boy, people dont be so rude.

he should have been out of diapers before age two. sounds like he needs a good old fashioned spanking. he needs to know boundaries and what the rules are.

When he pees anywhere by in the toilet, immediately take him to the toilet and put him there. Stay with him and make him sit there for a minute.
If that don't work put him in the bad boy corner.
Don't bribe him with candy.
Watch him closer and "catch him" when he seems to be looking for a spot to "go".
Kind of like with a pet when they are sniffing. I know he don't sniff but if he is trying to get his pants off or something like that.
It may take a while for you to figure out what it is he does right before he "goes."

Just because he's not in diapers, doesn't mean he's toliet trained. Put the diapers back on him until he pulls them down and uses the toliet like a big boy, not the carpet like an untrained puppy. Don't make such a big deal out of "going" by bribing him with candy or sitting with him Simply tell him that you are putting the diapers back on, but that he is expected to pull them down like underwear and use the toliet. If he goes in his diaper, he will have to change it himself. Get the pull ups, and yes, at 3 he is capable of dressing and undressing himself unless he is mentally or physically handicapped. You may have to tell him he stinks and to go change, but do NOT do it for him.

first thing put him in underwear and take him dont ask him once an hour every hour you the parent need to be consistent. same punishment for peeing on the floor same potty runs every day.

right now your a joke to him because you are so wishy washy. your not backing what you say. when he pees on the carpet spray the cleaner on it and hand him the scrub brush and make him put his wet pants in the washer. he needs you to be firm or this is just the tip of youe iceberg

i put a table tennis(ping pong) ball or balls in the toilet and get them to aim for the ball when peeing.the thinks its great and it helps the aim as well!! it will make it a fun time to go to the toilet
hope it helps
you dont need to spank that will make it worse it can make him scared of going to the toilet. if you ask him also frequently it can become fun to go

hmmmm I know its hard- i'm in a simular situation with my grandson- buy some books to read to him about using the potty- we recently got a new book about elmo using the potty- that may incourage him to use it more, also make a potty chart- using star stickers at the end of the week he gets to go to the store for a treat. I disagree with spanking and putting in the corner for his accidents- it takes time for some children to fully use the potty.

with my nephew, we put fruit loops in the bottom of his little potty. we told him to try to make them float. then he peed every time in the potty. we just had to make sure we watched him to make sure he wasn't playing in it. we didn't have much of a problem.

good luck.
