A stock option is purchased at $1 per option, 100 shares and $50 per share. When the stock price rises to $60 per share, the sophisticated investor sells his/her option for $10 per share (or 1,000 for the unit of 100 shares and realizes a gain of $900).

I understand how the investor has made the $900 gain, as the stock price has gone up. I do not understand how the investor can sell the option for $10 rather than sell the actual stocks. I see how selling at $10 makes the appropriate gain of $900, but how can the actual option have gone up in value? Would it be correct to assume that there are a lot of options selling for $10 at that point in time?

They are outside cats and they useally here everyday. we had them for about 4 months and all of a sudden they just were gone. they have been gone for 4 days now. i don't know what to do. is there even anything i can do about it......any help appreciated.

I have about $2,000 to spend on modfication to my mustang. I would like speed and perfromance out of my mustang. I have a A/T trans and the 3.3L Straight Six Motor. Please list parts and modifaction and steps I would need to consider when going the different routes with swap you all would do if it was your car. I am just getting tried of people pulling up next to me in honda and those other B S toy cars and wanting to see what my car and I can't show them anything for it but the name MUSTANG.

Some of our family is coming for visit for a month, during which I will have to live in our closet of a computer room on the floor. I've gotten past that, but the last remaining problem is that when they come to visit they try to control my life (I'm 15). My parents work all day so when they are gone my relatives tell my brother and I when to do our homework, when to clean, where we can go, who we can go with, and they expect us to occupy their time the entire time they're here. I'm sick and tired of them controlling me, but I don't want to come off as a rude teenager. How can it get this situation under control and loosen their hold over me?
