Due to the unique setup of Cracker Barrel restaurants, how many people do you think dine and dash (slip out without paying) there? I saw it happen over the weekend, allerted the cashier and they did not seem surprised or react in any way.

Now that you mention it, I'm not totally surprised! You must pay at the register after you've eaten. The doorway into the dining room is always cluttered with folk in line to get inside, while others are exiting. There are long lines at the cash registers, and lots of wandering customers shopping in their gift shop. It's always crowded inside and confusing there for me, and I'm not trying to dash out without paying. But, I can see the possibilities.

Amazingly enough, that happens a couple times a month. The ones that we catch, we get the police involved, but there are cameras everywhere throughout the store and in the retail shop so if we do not catch you the first time, you can bet if you come in again, we will have your number.

That's awful, I have personally never done that nor would ever and haven't seen others do that. Its such a great restaurant with wonderful food and amazing ambiance. Brings southern hospitality to city life!
