Whirlpool washer, only about 4 years old, started cycle and died while switching from wash to spin. I can turn the dial back to wash and it works but when I move it forward to spin nothing happens. Nothing happens when I turn dial to any other position. Do I need to call the Sears man or does someone have an idea how I can fix this myself. I am pretty handy, although not too much with electrical appliances. Thanks for your help!

Let me preface this question by saying that I am not necessarily looking to injure anyone... I am only looking to scare the daylights out of the drunk French teenagers that like to hang out on my roof in downtown Montréal.
They're loud, rude, disrespectful, sit on the roof throwing glass beer bottles at those walking by on a main street... My bedroom and kitchen windows face the roof bit where they go up and I want to feel safe if they should ever, heaven forbid, try to break into my room in the middle of the night or something ridiculous.
I'd like to find out where I can buy an inexpensive BB/ Air gun that will make a LOUD noise and hurt a bit but not enough to cause real damage. I just want to scare the crap out of them while they're up there so they get out of my (and the rest of the city's) hair. Cops aren't much aid, either.
So, I'm looking for where I can buy it, how much it will cost, the best ones for what I'm looking for and what kind of ID/ paperwork I might need. Thank you.

One of my bygone recollections As I recall the days of yore
Is the little house, behind the house, With the crescent over the door.
'Twas a place to sit and ponder With your head bowed down low;
Knowing that you wouldn't be there, If you didn't have to go.
Ours was a three-holer, With a size for every one.
You left there feeling better, After your usual job was done.
You had to make these frequent trips Whether snow, rain, sleet, or fog-
To the little house where you usually Found the Sears-Roebuck catalog.
Oft times in dead of winter, The seat was covered with snow.
'Twas then with much reluctance, To the little house you'd go.
With a swish you'd clear the seat, Bend low, with dreadful fear
You'd blink your eyes and grit your teeth As you settled on your rear.
I recall the day Grandpa, Who stayed with us one summer,
Made a trip to the shanty Which proved to be a hummer.
'Twas the same day my Dad Finished painting the kitchen green.
He'd just cleaned up the mess he's made With rags and gasoline.
He tossed the rags in the shanty hole And went on his usual way
Not knowing that by doing so He would eventually rue the day.
Now Grandpa had an urgent call, I never will forget!!!
This trip he made to the little house Lingers in my memory yet.
He sat down on the shanty seat, With both feet on the floor.
Then filled his pipe with tobacco And struck a match on the outhouse door.
After the tobacco began to glow, He slowly raised his rear:
Tossed the flaming match in the open hole, with no sign of fear.
The blast that followed, I am sure Was heard for miles around;
And there was poor ol' Grandpa just sitting on the ground.
The smoldering pipe was still in his mouth, His suspenders he held tight;
The celebrated three-holer Was blown clear out of sight.
When we asked him what had happened, His answer I'll never forget.
He thought it must be something That he had recently et!
Next day we had a new one Which my Dad built with ease.
With a sign on the entrance door Which read: No Smoking, Please!
Now that's the end of the story, With memories of long ago,
Of the little house, behind the house Where we went cause we had to go!

Am in new relationship with partner who is going thru divorce/seperation, and custody etc. Every time he has the kids, (2nd weekend), he constantly abuses(verbal,) her in front of kids, and this is making the kids lives a mess emotionally. He wont respond to n e lawyers letters for settlement, custody or n e thing.. I know we have to take alot of this to court to get it settled, but is thier any other way we can get immediate action to resolve this???? Emotional blackmail, and constant bettering of mind games are his forte'. Some times he takes one child and not the other, other times he goes holidaying for 5 weeks straight and then thinks he is entitiled to that loss of custody.. She is trying to be as accomodating as possible, so it's favourable in court, is this the way to go??? Any advice would be greatful. Thanks

HI there

is there any toppers or such like you can buy to make your mattress firmer, I bought a medium firm mattress with body moulding material which was meant to be ideal for bad backs, but it has worsened my problem.

is there any you can buy in the UK to put either on top of the mattress or underneath to make it firmer or will I need to buy a new mattress
