During Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, I always have to skip Welcome to the Machine because the classic rock station I listen to played it to death.
Darn the radio!

I often skip "Why Can't I Touch It" by the Buzzcocks when I'm listening to Singles Going Steady. It's too long and something about it reminds me of John Mellencamp for some reason. Although when I'm in the mood for it I still love the song, even more if it were a minute or two shorter.

"Elegie" on Patti Smith's album Horses. Boring.

"Do You Wanna Dance" on It's Alive by the Ramones because my computer ripped it poorly off of the disc and it skips and hisses and makes loud scratchy sounds and for some reson everyonce in awhile it plays a few second from the song "Chain Saw" instead. I'm far too lazy to go get the CD and re-rip that song.

"We Will Fall" on The Stooges debut because it sucks. I'm not even sure why they assumed it would be a good idea. It's all slow and cultish and with very little vocals or instruments and it's 11 minutes long.

"Train In Vain" on London Calling. Aooarently I'm crazy because everyone else loves this one. But it sounds to be more like something a less talented less awesome femal vocal group from the 80's should be singing.

I skip the "Not Anymore/Ain't Nothing To Do [Medley[" on the Dead Boys' debut album, because it's actually just the two songs in one track (again causing a length problem) with a short dialouge between Stiv Bators and Cheetah Chrome at the end. "Hey Cheetah" "Yeah Stiv?" "I'm bored, let's go pick up some little girls or something?" "AAALRIIIIGHT!".

For the most part, I no longer have to skip tracks, because I ripped and burnt all my CDs into my perfect compelations.
But, there will be occasions when I'm just not in the mood for something ~ often slow songs, or fast songs.

Whenever I listen to Queen, I always skip past 'We Are the Champions' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody', because they really have been played to death on the radio and tv.

I have to agree with Lovnrckets about 'In Praise of Bachus' ~ I actually left it off my comp. I do tend to skip 'Green Man' and 'Red Water'. And I love the TON version of 'Cinnamon Girl' ~ I never thought I'd like a Neil Young song!

With Dire Straits, I'll often listen to the intro of 'Money for Nothing', and then skip past the rest of it.

On my Led Zeppelin albums, I often skip 'Since I've Been Loving You'. I know it's a great song, but it takes so long to build up that I really have to be in the right mood to listen to it.

I love the Smiths, but I usually find my finger on the "skip" button for Bigmouth Strikes Again on The Queen is Dead. I've never been fond of the lyrics, plus it got overplayed on the alternative station I listened to in my younger days.

I'm also not a fan of the track Drone Zone on the Siouxsie solo album Mantaray. Too repetitive, but I guess that's supposed to be the point. Kind of reminds me of the song Circle from Kiss in the Dreamhouse which I also skip over!

NIN -The Downward Spiral: I almost always skip Piggy, I'm just not into that song.

Tool - Ænima: I skip the first minute and a half or so of Eulogy because I don't like that repetitive tapping sound... I love the song once it gets going, it's one of my favorites off that album.

Garbage - self titled: Sometimes I skip "Only Happy When it Rains" because I've heard that song WAY too many times, love the album though.

There are a few of those tracks that resemble "flyover" territory.

Rob Zombie - Iron Head - The Sinister Urge - He's got Ozzy singing on the track and I can't take that senile old man seriously anymore. Reminds me too much of when he tried to sing the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley.

NIN - Big Man With a Gun - The Downward Spiral - Maybe the one not so good song on an otherwise great album.

Type O Negative - In Praise of Baccus - October Rust - Almost 8 minutes is too long to wait to have to hear the next track, Cinnamon Girl, one of the great covers of all.

conie - Just for you, I promise to give it a good listen tomorrow.

I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan - I have every album they have put out. When I'm listening to Dark Side of the Moon I'll skip the track Money because years ago I was a cashier and I find the register ringing at the beginning to be absolutely annoying.

If it's a song I've already heard over and over like maybe on XM or somewhere else then I will skip it. I hate getting tired of certain songs but that's just what happens.

On "His Last Walk" by Blessthefall, I always skip over Wait For Tomorrow because it never really appealed to me. The rest of the CD is outstanding.

On The Run from Dark Side Of The Moon

Cause I just don't like the song.
Wild Horses from Sticky Fingers
Becuse it's one of My least favorite Stones songs

hm.... good question. Actually, sometimes I'm just in the mood for songs. Most of the time, I skip MOST songs on an album.
