What are people's thoughts on financially supporting parents? I was lucky enough to go to college and become financially independent. I lived better than my parents, and tried to help them out from time to time. My mom got cancer and as a result I supported them even more. I ended up being a full time caregiver to her for 6 months. Now that she is passed on I find myself finacially reeling from the ordeal. Only it get's worse. Now that my dad has only a SS check and no savings whatsoever, I pay all his bills and loans. I am going into serious debt trying to do what I think is right. But is it? My dad can't claim bankruptcy because they already did once. Now I am just bitter at life in general and partly wishing I had just ran away from it all.

I ask because according to the alarmists, Katrina and Rita were a result of global warming, and I am sure that the next active hurricane season will be as well.

How do these alarmists reconcile invoking the all powerful global warming every time a hurricane hits, but conveniently become quiet every time their predictions fall short?

If a car is moving around a circular track in uniform circular motion, with friction present, and a free-body diagram is drawn showing all the forces on the car (3 total forces), then why does the force of the friction, which is parallel to the surface always have a perpendicular or normal force, which is of course perpendicular to the force of friction? I know that there is a force of gravity downward which acts as the opposing force of the earth pushing up on the car, but HOW IS THE FORCE FROM THE TRACK on the car RELATED TO THE FORCE OF FRICTION, AND WHY ARE THE TWO DIFFERENT FORCES PERPENDICULAR. Thanks.

I am currently trying to lose weight. I have modified my diet, and I use The Firm workout videos 4-5 times per week for cardio and strength training. Do you think I will get a boost if I also add two 15min. workouts on my elliptical per day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon/evening? Would this be beneficial-or not make much of an impact b/c its only 15 min. at a time? Thanks for you input!

They are afraid of losing control within a group? Doing drugs/sex. It goes against their morals creating anxiety. Being labeled by all of them and not being able to escape that label. They have anxiety problems because the unknown scares them. They don't know that the only way to get out of their shell is to face their fears? They are afraid of being ignored in the group, not having a voice. They would rather have a one on one conversations with someone. They like predictability. What else? I just explained myself.

The wife came home early and found her husband in their bedroom making love to a very attractive young woman. "You disrespectful pig!" she cried. "How dare you do this to me - a faithful wife, the mother of your children! I'm leaving you. I want a divorce!" And Paddy (for it was he) replied "Hang on just a minute luv, so at least I can tell you what happened." "Fine, go ahead", she sobbed, " but they'll be the last words you'll say to me!"

And Paddy began - "Well, I was getting into the car to drive home and this young lady here asked me for a lift. She looked so down and out and defenseless that I took pity on her and let her into the car. I noticed that she was very thin, not well dressed and very dirty. She told me that she hadn't eaten for three days! So, in my compassion, I brought her home and warmed up the enchiladas I made for you last night, the ones you wouldn't eat because you're afraid you'll put on weight. The poor thing devoured them in moments. Since she needed a good clean-up I suggested a shower, and while she was doing that I noticed her clothes were dirty and full of holes so threw them away. Then, as she needed clothes, I gave her the designer jeans that you have had for a few years, but don't use because you say they are too tight. I also gave her the underwear that was your anniversary present, which you don't use because I don't have good taste. I found the sexy blouse my
sister gave you for Christmas that you don't use just to annoy her, and
I also donated those boots you bought at the expensive boutique and
don't use because someone at work has the same pair."

Here Paddy took a quick breath and continued - "She was so grateful for my understanding and help and as I walked her to the door she turned to me with tears in her eyes and said, "Please ... do you have anything else that your wife doesn't use?

I have a flower bed that currently contains Petunia's, Gerbera Daisies, and Begonia's. I would love to plant some tulip bulbs there so they will bloom in the spring. Will the plants that are already there (the flowers) die and not come back, should I yank them out or trim them way down. I want to plant the bulbs in the same bed, I do have the room. Also, when should I plant the bulbs so they will bloom in spring? Any advice is very helpful. Thanks.
