It's taken me awhile to figure out what to do with my life, but I have finally figured out I want to be a guidance counselor.

I live in West Virginia and many people tell me that in order to become a guidance counselor and get a job, you need a degree in teaching and teaching experience. I do not have any interest in being a teacher at all.

At the college I will be attending it says they have an alternative program for students w/o a teaching degree and I think that allows you to be licensed as well...does anyone know anything about that?

I am wondering how hard it would be to land a job as a guidance, as many people tell me it's very difficult, what the job is like and what would be a good thing to get a BA in?

I was thinking Counseling, then I thought possibly social work, now I am still strongly thinking maybe sticking with counseling.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

OK, what suggestions do you have for a dog that is so gung ho, that she basically plows me down on recalls! LOL I have stopped doing finishes with her right now on a recall, because she was so happy to finish after plowing me down. LOL She will be a high scorer when I get her fine tuned. The biggest thing is getting her to stop and sit in front of me on a recall without her trying to knock me over or without her putting her paws up on me as well. Any suggestions?

Sorry to keep singling you out but one of your answers earlier (regarding Russians) intrigued me and made me remember an agent, Mark Gandler (he is a Russian I believe that changed his name to that) but I think there was another Mark Gandler too. Always confused me. Anyway, do/did you know him and what was your experience with him? I have heard he was a dirtbag and some teams (Flyers) quit even dealing with him. He was/is also Yashin's agent (the hold-out) and I think he was the agent of a few others you mentioned - Mironov maybe.
Some called him the Drew Rosenhaus of hockey.

If you prefer not to answer a question involving your peer, I can appreciate that.

Two Petr Svobodas used to confuse me too. Wasn't one of them an agent?

I know there is a sign that says trespassers can be shot, but has it actually happened or is just a scare tactic?

I am writting a book. It is about a futuristic society that is being brainwashed by the ruler. His father was the first to start brain washing people when he was the ruler, now its his turn. But he is different, he was born with his own mind. He invents new machiens that takes over people's brains and makes them bow down to him. The book is about a girl who was born with a mind of her own, and how she is taken to another world (our world) she lives with a family who has just lost a wife and a mother. The ruler took her to the hospital to get her brain fixed, but the only hostpital was in the other world (our world) the doctor (who she ends up living with) is determined to help her, so he takes her to his house to live after she tells him how the ruler slapped her. Right now in my book, she just arvived and she doesnt know anything about this place. What should happen next, there is so much for her to learn! Thanks!

my 6 year old daughter taught me something today...
that no matter how silly something seems ... if you want to do it , then just do it

last week my daughter wrote a silly child like letter to Queen
we made an envolope out of paper and sticky tape
she wrote
Dear Queen Elizabeth
thank you for protecting our country
with love from Katana

she gave me it ... and for days I had this letter in my bag
no stamp , and just addressed to the Queen , London
guilt got the better of me and i just quickly popped it in the post box and almost ran away feeling silly lol
well this morning Katana recieved a letter from Buckingham Palace
thanking her for her kind thoughts
isnt that something ?

shouldnt we all be like children ?
whatever you wish to do , whatever dreams you have
just do it

In numerous instances in the Qur’an, Allah speaks in first person, plural, such as in 49:13 (translated to English by Shakir): “O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is Knowing, Aware.”

Here are some more examples which came from part of the second book only wherein Allah is plural:
2:3 – We have given them …
2:23 – We have revealed …
2:34 – We said to the angels …
2:35 - We said: O Adam!
2:36 – We said: Get forth …
2:38 – We said: Go forth from this all.
2:49 – We delivered you from Firon’s (Pharaoh’s) people.
2:50 – We parted the sea for you.
2:51 – We appointed a time of forty nights with Musa (Moses).
2:52 – We did forgive you.
2:53 – We gave Musa (Moses) the Book …

A recent poll showed that 50% of Americans think the country is in recession.
The stock market is hitting new highs, GDP is up, unemployment is down, and inflation is in check. What more do they want?
Bush has done an extraordinary job with the economy considering he inherited an economy falling after the tech bubble burst (March, 2000), Corporate scandals perpetrated in the 90s and prosecuted in his administration (Enron, Worldcom, Global Crossing), 9/11 and the fallout, plus a different kind of war that is demanding a high degree of industrial might (which would grow the economy like FDR did).
Economy good, Bush doing a good job
