Sorry to keep singling you out but one of your answers earlier (regarding Russians) intrigued me and made me remember an agent, Mark Gandler (he is a Russian I believe that changed his name to that) but I think there was another Mark Gandler too. Always confused me. Anyway, do/did you know him and what was your experience with him? I have heard he was a dirtbag and some teams (Flyers) quit even dealing with him. He was/is also Yashin's agent (the hold-out) and I think he was the agent of a few others you mentioned - Mironov maybe.
Some called him the Drew Rosenhaus of hockey.

If you prefer not to answer a question involving your peer, I can appreciate that.

Two Petr Svobodas used to confuse me too. Wasn't one of them an agent?

I'm only aware of one Mark Gandler, the one who represented Yashin, and Dimitri Mironov, etc. I was going to mention him in my answer - but chose not to. You never know who is reading these boards. I've met Gandler a few times as he also represented some other juniors, and he was no different than any other agent face to face. He has been based in New Jersey since 1990 but was born in the former Soviet Union.

There were indeed two Petr Svobodas as players, and the most well known (Montreal's) has since become an agent, primarily for Czech players

Svoboda lives in LA and has a number of business interests in addition to his agency.

Roman Hamrlik is one of his guys and the deal he got in Montreal should be an indication of Svoboda's skill level as an agent. lol
