Michael is right here. Your coin is KM# 40 and sells for what he said. The Marshall Islands used to be under the U.S. and in fact they use the U.S. dollar. In 1986 the U.S. told the United nations that the islands were on their own so now they are an independent nation. There coins are made for the general public for true coin collectors know the are a gimmick to make the islands some hard cash. They won't even accept the coins there to buy anything. They are a tourist thing. Once gone they want them to stay gone. Hope you did not pay to much for it.
