First off I must STRESS, I’m not talking about people that are on business travel. I understand people on business doing it. I’m talking about people that are close to home & decide to go to a restaurant alone.

I just don’t understand the following steps one goes thru when eating alone:

- decides to forego the food in their home (if no food it would make sense to go to a grocery store)
- actually gets in vehicle and drives to restaurant
- asks to be seated for ONE

Now as your seated, what the hell do you do when as you wait for the meal?

Then the meal is served and you simply eat it… What is the point?

To me, going out to a restaurant is a chance to talk with someone & enjoy intelligent conversation over a meal. Going alone, you are just fulfilling the act of eating. Sounds like something a caveman would do.

Not to mention, there are no booths for one or tables set for one.

Someone please explain?

Solve. and then unscramble your answers (when you convert into letters) for the next clue. These are probably easy, but it is the first step!

1. 4(5x-6)=-20+19x

2. 8x=16x-64

3. Square Root of 49

4. Square Root of 25

5. Square Root of 81 divided by 3

1=O

2=Z

3=L

4=K

5=R

6=T

7=A

8=S

9=T

10=P

I am married, I have a 5 year old, and a 10 month old, both boys. I was in college when I had my 5 year old, I went back to school, worked, and took care of my child all alone. Then when I got married I worked a full time job, had another baby, took care of home, my kids and my husband. Now my husband is in Iraq, and I was still working a full time job and taking care of home and the kids, well now I have resigned from my position at work and this was my first week as a stay at home mom, well I love it! This is so easy, my life is stress free! I just don't understand why stay at home mom's says this is a hard thing to do. What was hard was getting up at 6am, getting myself and 2 kids ready, taking the kids to daycare and school working 8 hours a day, picking the kids up, cooking, cleaning, giving baths, reading stories, and getting ready for the next day. Why do stay at home mom's say this is Hard??? Real world experiences please.

I have a cat and for some reason my clothes stink like coconuts and urine- even after I wash them. Does this happen to anyone else? I take the cat to get groomed monthly and he smells fine but he is stinking up my clothes and house. Any ideas?

Quite often the skeptics of manmade global warming seek to refute the theory of global warming by focusing attention on any number of issues rather than attempting to refute the sceintific basis upon which the theory rests - namely that greenhouse gases retain heat within Earth's atmosphere.

Is the fact that so few address the scientific issues a sign that they don't understand them or that they can't refute them?

"WE" are not at the center of the Universe.... yet what I read says that ALL the other galaxies are moving AWAY from us..... how is that possible?.... isn't there ANY that are moving along toward us?.....

since we're in the arm of the Milky Way, I'm assuming that the stars in one of the other arms or in ours are moving toward us...yes?...

but no galaxies?... then who's overtaking who between us and Andromeda, for when we're supposed to collide?....

thanks for clearing up my fog....

I just got a brake and rooter replacement. My axle broke into pieces the next day as I was driving it. They told me there was a clicking noise before this.. when you turn the wheel. I asked if that was a problem and they said no.

he asked to be crucified that way but, the bottom line is things do not happen unless it is the will of God---either his permissive will or his ordaining will) so he would be a mirror image of Christ---"we were made in his image"

Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven

Bill McKibben's book "Maybe One" lays out an argument that only by decreasing population can we have a sustainable human lifestyle in the 21st century and beyond.

Should the UN pick up the successful model of China and mandate that for all countries, each couple can only have one child? Wouldn't this have an immediate affect on places like Darfur and Somalia where starvation is rampant?
