think of some one you know who needs some help or company, and go and help them, you'll be happy to help and will stop thinking about feeling sad as you are thinking of the other person.
or if you really are not in the right frame of mind for company...have a bath, do your nails, eyebrows, in other words pamper yourself with some quality me time or,
chill and watch TV or,
Listen to some good music or,
sort out some stuff in your house you've been meaning to do for ages, you'll feel great afterwards! or
have a sleep, maybe you are over tired or,
phone a friend and have a chat and a
giggle....
write a list of all that you have achieved this week, even the small things, that will make you smile and feel good about yourself.x
count your blessings x and keep smiling.x

I think first you should laugh at yourself: Go to the mirror and watch yourself make a monkey face (pull out your ears and puff out your cheeks). Then do a fish face (make your eyes big and suck in your cheeks). Soon you'll at least be smiling at yourself for looking like a fool.
Then go do something fun that you enjoy like watching a comedy or excersise or whatever. Soon you'll be feeling better and it'll take your mind off of whatever you're sad about.

2 go get stoned (if thats your bag)
3 take your dog for a walk in the country, very relaxing (don't have one borrow one)
4 bad mouth whoever made you sad to friends
5 play with your kids por nieces and nephews
if they don't work then i'm afraid your just miserable

Watch some comedian. Dara O'Brien or Tommy Tiernan are hilarious. If your laughing youll feel a bit better.
Or just call a friend and talk for ages bout how you feel then really stupid stuff that'll make you happy!
