Congressional leaders love to mesmerize, hypnotize, repeating again and again that Iraq is a fiasco staged by Bush, waged by Bush, controlled by Bush, unaltered by Bush, conducted by Bush.

Unanimous advice of the Joints Chiefs? Never mentioned. Unanimous judgment of the world's intelligence communities? Never heard. Unanimous resolutions by the UN Security Council? Never happened. Unanimous conclusion by the 9/11 Commission that a failed Iraq will be the top breeding ground for attacks against Americans? Never mind.

Iraq isn't a quagmire -- it's a crucible. Masks are burned off, character stands bare, make-up is wiped off, what you're made of shows through.

Rob troops of honor, parents of belief, Iraqis of hope: and what's left? A world peopled by the two-faced. Abandon hope all who enter here.

California fires! The media reports that some were set intentionally.

Years ago the term "fire bug" was part of our national lexicon. I just looked it up in the dictionary - or tried to. No listing. Back when, the word described an individual who set fires to satisfy their sexual cravings.

Though I didn't find a definition for "fire bug", I did come across the word "pyromaniac", which fit the definition for "fire bug".

My reason for posting this question, is to invite any users that have came in contact with, or has interacted in any way, with some one who suffers from this mental disorder, either in a clinical, progessional, or personal setting to share their experience(s).

Anyone?

A curious,

Wotan

Im a girl and I am bi. I liked this girl for a while now and I thought that she like me as well because all of the signs that she was giving me. But I recently found out that she had a boyfriend before and I thought she was gay. Now I feel so crush like the whole world ended for me and I don't know how to deal with this. I constantly am in touch with her because we live in San diego and are currently experiencing wild fires. She called me very late the other night asking how I was doing. But I told her if i can call back tomorrow but i didn't and called her back 2 days later. I got her voicemail and left her a message. Then later on she called me back but I didnt answer because I was having dinner. So when I called her back again I had voicemail again. But then my phone was beeping because she was calling. When I was talking to her it was very awkward and I like forgot what I was supposed to say. So I had to end it right away.

Pls read my other questions for some background. Thanks.

Im 25wks preggo and have(I think)food poisoning. Been feeling sick after eating for the last couple of weeks in the new apt. and couldn't figure out why-thought maybe it was dairy. But last night we realized that our fridge isn't running properly and when I use meat that has thawed in the fridge I get sick...when I use meat directly from the grocery store without storing it, I'm fine.

I haven't had fever or chills, just throwing up about an hour or two after I eat and then feeling fine, or sometimes diahrea which lasts about 24hrs. This last time it was ground beef and the results are a little worse...threw up, very sweaty, but the sweating passed when the vomiting was done, and now have mild cramps and bad nausea and feeling sick to my stomach. Fridge is getting repaired tomorrow, but I'm worried about hos this has affected Baby. I'm waiting for my dr. to call back, but in the meantime, does anybody know how this may be affecting the fetus? Any personal experience with this

For those of you who are convinced we don't:

The first session of my parish Bible study group this year -- an in-depth study of the Gospel of John -- was held last evening, and there was standing room only.

No more than 30 were anticipated; over 80 showed up. All brought their own Bibles, a variety of translations, including even the KJV.

Regular Bible studies are held in most U.S. parishes ... so doesn't this make the assumption that we don't read or study Scripture (or worse, aren't "allowed" to) completely false?

and make up lies in an attempt to get the officer fired to get out of a ticket they earned?
I understand the right to argue an officers opnion of a complete stop as opposed to roling through a stop sign. The legal system has an avenue set up just for this. If you do not like the officers opnion you take him to traffic court. But to go beyond this and make out sworn statements and lies in an attempt to have the officer fired is beyond me.
I know there are people who refuse to take responsibility for their actions and find ways to blame others for their actions, but there needs to be a limit somewhere. If you don't want to take the responsibilty for your actions and want to blame others that's fine. But to get out of a $150.00 ticket by trying to ruin the officers reputation and job is silly.
The officer relies on his income the same as everyone else. He has bills to pay and mouths to feed as well.
Why do people try this approach to handeling a situation.

In the fun that 2 (or more!) consenting adults have with one another, would you consider yourself to be more "Openminded" or more "Traditional"?

With '1' being very conservative in these things and '5' being very openminded (aka kinky), how would you rate yourself?

Thanks.

(I myself would probably go with a strong 4! lol)

If I buy a head of lettuce, chop it up and divide it into zip lock baggies and pop them in the freezer, how long will it stay fresh?

And, when I remove from the freezer, will it be frozen so much that if I bite into it right away it will be like an ice cube or will it just be really really cold?

A physically disabled young man, aged 29.
A young doctor, fresh out of med school. --- he cheated on his exams, but he still knows some things
A movie starlet/ supermodel. --- world famous beauty
An old widow. --- knows how to cook, sew,
A pastor/priest --- spiritual and supportive

An artist. --- great paintor and sculptor

Everyone who had a ticket by this cop was told he was sick and it would be rescheduled.. even those who asked for a dismissal. After watching them get nowhere doing that and them having to speak to another officer I just let the judge reschedule for me. I was told they have to dismiss it on failure to prosecute and cannot do this.
Is this true ?
