A very wise 23 year old 2nd Army Leiutenant explained why he chose to fight in the Iraq war. He said, "Don't forget that human beings have a responsibility to one another and that Americans have a responsibility to the oppressed."

I agree wholeheartedly with him. This country was founded on the idea that the oppressed could come here to escape their country's persecution. It should always stand for that. Also, I believe that we humans have a huge responsibility to one another. THAT is why we are there. Do you agree?

I have 16,000 in credit card debt. I cut up all of my cards. I make about 3500 a month and I'm trying to pay them off. I know I don't qualify for one of those assistance programs because they can only negotiate with your credit card company if your payments have rarely been late and mine have, especially this couple of months. I just feel like I'm going to have a panic attack. Is there no way out of this?

The verbal problem is "7 times a number is the same as 12 more than 3 times the number. Find the number."

I know that the equation is
7x=3y+12
but how do you solve it?

everything was good till this last 1/2 year. I had problems dealing w work, family, health. she had some too. It seemed like I just smuttherd her too much by always doing too much for her. I became insecure and always had to call her all the time, tex, email, know what she was doing ect. However this was not unpurpose, i just really loved her. Over the summer we had a couple 1 week breaks. Last month she told me she think we still needed time apart.I got really upset and emotially and just left. we were both crying.Since then I got really insecure and kept calling, texing, jut pushing her away.she has said she just wasnt happy, but then she says he needs time.Anyways this last week I realied alot of things and want to be calm and laidback like i always was.i got a new really good job that I am happy. Iam like i used 2 be.She has aggred 2 meet4 lunch tom. I knowshe expects me to be a begger. what can i do to make her think twice?I am a really nice guy and have done everythng 4her.

Does it undermine your trust in the cop when he could easily have made a tape?

What if he says he does not make tapes because people are less likely to talk freely when they see a recorder?

Would it make a difference if there was another cop present, but he could not confirm what the first cop says the defendant admitted?

I am interested in how jurors sort out circumstances like this. Some people think a cop will be believed rather than the defendant. Other's think it is very suspicious when a cop sets up circumstances where it his word against the defendant.

There are really 4 fluids in this colum what is the 4th fluid?
they are corn syrup vinegar and cooking oil
cooking oil is on the top of the graduated cylinder
next in vinegar
and after that is corn syrup on the bottom

I have this vision in my head, about a man who is obsessed with finding this woman he met, and made love to, in a lavish castle in the desert; once leaving the castle, he tries to go back late, and can no longer find the girl, or the castle. When he tries to bring it up with the local populous, they either ignore him, or outright become enraged that he brought it up. The more he tries to find her, the more obsessed he becomes, until he becomes quite mad...

...it's sorta a contemporary take on the legend of the siren, but I don't know the title, and I'm not entirely sure it wasn't a dream...

As i would like to know, if the mccanns had left the children alone to go out on the tiles and get hammered in britain would they have been charged with neglect?
I find it hard to believe that they have people defending them to the hilt when clearly they are guilty of neglect. I dont know wether they have anything to do with her dissapearance or not il wait for evidence on that side of the issue. whether she has breasts or the fact she is slim has nothing to do with the feelings i have of disgust towards the pair of them for leaving those 3 children alone. i still believe in innocence till proven guilty and will decide when i see solid concrete facts, however a certain few pro's are really making themselves look silly by pushing the points as to why they are innocent yet they refuse to answer the child neglection issue either they dont answer or they get snotty & abusive but looking at the posts in here id say there is approx 90% of users saying they are guilty of neglect.
