The exact question which I'm having trouble with:

What is the acceleration due to gravity at a distance of 2 Earth radii above Earth's surface?

I have, no idea what this thing is asking. Isn't a radius a distance between the center of an object and its outer shell? So is this thing asking me the pull of gravity on an object, by earth, if the object is twice the distance from earth's surface than the surface and the core? What is the equation for that?

If, as many scolars believe, Eccl. 9:1-10 reflects strictly humanistic viewpoint, can you see how the statement in verse 5 ( " For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing." ) reflects not God's perspective but fallen humanity's perspective?

I'm aware of the obvious dangers, so here's my question:
In a tanning booth, if I shut my eyes, I see green, just like having my eyes open with "winkies."
If I shut my eyes forcefully, as hard as I can, for 10 minutes, I see black. Can I get away with that, or is there no way out of wearing the eye protection?

I read another post that some people believe in the literal stories of the bible, like the Noah story. So, given the dimensions of the boat, which I assume are known, how do you fit 17 million critters in there? This number is the current estimate of all species on earth. Everything that exists today HAD to be on that boat...right???

I'll make it easy, let's say Noah was a slacker and only brought half the species, how could he still fit that much stuff on one boat?
How could he build a boat that big?
How could he provide that much food for a diverse number of animals from all over the globe?
How could he stand the smell of that much crap in the boat? You can't train a warthog to do its business over the bow you know.

Logistically, this makes zero sense.

I graduated in May from college and have been looking for a job to start my career. I've barely had any luck, I've been applying over mail, handing people resumes, networking and nothing is working. And now, I'm even trying to get just a regular mundane job to pass time and make a little money but they're all being taken by high schoolers who need the jobs much much less than I do. What do I do to get over this?

I went to church and pray i that i am not the antichrist, but i feel i am, since i saw many strange picture of the cloud on night shape like a phoenix and then a dragon one week later. Deep inside i get a feeling i dont believe in god and his teaching, but i try to go to church and this sunday i went to church for my third time in ten years. All my time i was hiding from church and the people i feel am i not belong to god or i feel changed. Each time i hear the holy city Jerseaulum, my affection toward that city make me seeking or seeing it myself. It feel like my conscious is connected with that city one way or another. I still not sure what i will do next and my pain kept increase and i not crazy, or insane. I question myself do i seek power,destruction, and death or not seeking any other of those and live to hiding. I dont want any disruption to peace and end up commited the most sinful in my life. I request anyone to help me and tell me what i should do? Antichrist or not?

To me, cars suppose to be good at safety. Therefor compare this two. Hyundai Santa FE vs BMW X5 series. If you see this chart, you will say wow BMW 's Safety technology sucks.. this is for you "deautophile" the one who claims that Hyndai is not close to BMW in technology advances in Safety in the previous question,Why people still thinks that hyundai is a bd car.

as you can see three cars from hyudnai leads the safety technology. They are Sonata, Entourage, and Sante Fe. BMW barely have safe cars... but none of them recieved the highest.

My husband is soon to have open heart surgery for 3 blocked coronary vessels and while I know that others have this and survive , I worry for him and find myself crying thinking I might lose him. We've been together for 33 years and have 3 children. I want to be positive that he will be ok, but he is a diabetic(poorly controlled on insulin) he is 55, and has high BP (controled with medication), and has 26% kidney function. Seeing him scared knowing he does'nt have a choice except to get the surg. is tearing me up.I want to be able to ease his fears, but don't know what to say. He thinks he will die or come out of the surg. on a dialysis machine.How do I prepare my kids 12, 13, and 20 ,we are all just scared and no one to talk to that has been through this. I try not to think of myself, and I need to be strong for him but this is really the worst thing we've ever faced. He never had any idea his heart was bad, the Dr.s found this out while he was in hosp. to get his foot ulcer rep.

i cant seem to find decent information - and it's a topic that would explain a lot about reality to me.
pacemakers do not REPLACE hearts, but make them beat.
artifical hearts - i cannot find reference to the absolute replacement (ie; taking physical real heart away).
