I am semi-out of the closet, my mom knows and two of my closest friends know, one of those friends being my crush, but she is straight. I feel really lonely because I don't know any girls who are gay and willing to like me and I don't know where to find them... what should I do?

Give it time, that's all. You're only 14 and not ready to hit the high life yet! See if you can find out if they have a GLBT organization anywhere near you...that may help. In the meanwhile, pay no attention to the people who have answered you inappropriately here...they are clueless. Just be who you are and be proud of that. Stay loose...you have all the time in the world and you do have good friends.

Yeah it must be hard being a lesbian. I mean the gay community in general is a pretty small world. But lesbians are an even smaller world. Where I live there is only one lesbian bar amongst the many many gay bars.
There's just not much for lesbians to do in general in my town (besides the bar) most of the activities and organizations are geared toward gay men.

You're only 14 years old, a teenager. You are still exploring things, which in your case is your sexual orientation.
You have so much time to look for you're women that you will spend the rest of your life with. There are a lot of lesbians out there- and one of them will be for you, I just know it.
Take a deep breath, and relax. Take life slowly, and play it by ear. What's meant to be will always find it's way.

dear honey, delaware is swarming with gays! and, you're so close to philadelphia.. there's a street here.. "gay street" check it. i'm sure there are some under 21 nights at clubs.. but you'd probably h ave to be 18.. but you could always check out art scenes.. coffee shops.. more open-minded people.. don't fret.. things will happen.

Where are you located? If you're near a big city, there's a good chance there's a community center nearby that will have events and socials where you can meet people.
