i cant seem to find decent information - and it's a topic that would explain a lot about reality to me.
pacemakers do not REPLACE hearts, but make them beat.
artifical hearts - i cannot find reference to the absolute replacement (ie; taking physical real heart away).
if you can find such reference - i need NAMES, and if possible where they can be found. ANY help is appreciated

Abiomed makes one. It has been implanted into a handful of people to date, and is currently used only as a bridge to heart transplant, not as a long-term solution. But people certainly live/lived with it in place.

Here's an article you may find helpful

Ventracor is a company who would answer your question.

Destination Therapy is long term use of the VentrAssist for patients who are ineligible for a heart transplant and have few other available options.
