To me, cars suppose to be good at safety. Therefor compare this two. Hyundai Santa FE vs BMW X5 series. If you see this chart, you will say wow BMW 's Safety technology sucks.. this is for you "deautophile" the one who claims that Hyndai is not close to BMW in technology advances in Safety in the previous question,Why people still thinks that hyundai is a bd car.
BMW cars:http://www.iihs.org/ratings/head_restraints/headrestraints.aspx?bmw
Hyundai Cars:http://www.iihs.org/ratings/head_restraints/headrestraints.aspx?hyundai
as you can see three cars from hyudnai leads the safety technology. They are Sonata, Entourage, and Sante Fe. BMW barely have safe cars... but none of them recieved the highest.
If you really wanna see how good the volvos are compare to BMW. here is the link

The only thing bad about Hyundai's is the trade in value, definitely among the top vehicles being sold today though. The Azera is the best full-size sedan under $30,000 and the new Veracruz and redesigned Santa Fe's are also leaders in the mid-size SUV class. With the Genesis car due next year Hyundai will also have the best car under $40,000. Hyundai is a leader in vehicle safety, BMW's reputation is in its styling and handling. BMW's no doubt drive better then Hyundai's and also have free maintainence, but they cost nearly twice as much too and only the 3-series seems to hold its value.
So, people that look down on Hyundai's just need to be educated, worked for me!

I believe you are right in several points. People buy cars on their previous records...BMW has long established good performance records, so as Toyota Camry. Hyundai does not have long sale records to support itself. To backup your point, yes, I did buy a new Honda Accord back to 1985, and it ended up a lemon, I traded it with S-10 Blazer, and has been kept that Blazer for 22 years. I never consider to buy any Honda at all, no matter what.

I don't know why Hyundai's are still getting bed reviews. I bought a new 2007 Accent, the cheapest of the cars they make. I had it 3 weeks and was in an accident. It was totaled, but thanks to the side air bags I was not hurt. I replaced the car with another one just like it and I love it.

The cars may be OK, but they have the worst resale value in the business. I bought a Azera Base for $32000+ and lost $11000 as soon as I took possession.
