I'm in my 20's and have the most overprotective, old fashioned parents...sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes...it's kinda hard...

For me to get where i am today with their trust and for them not to get paranoid...is HUGE...i'm the oldest so they STILL have the hardest time letting go (even with the littlest things 16 yr olds can do grrr) I'm a simple girl and i usually don't go along w. the crowd...i've got values and i'm a smart cookie :) Being the oldest, i've kinda had to grow up and be mature compared to others my own age but of course, they'll see something else, as "innocent".

I was planning on having some on my bday until my cousin brought it up (getting me drunk) and of course, the FREAKED...the whole "drinking" thing didn't even come up w. them 'til now and they're back to freaking out again..

HELP...is it really worth it?

They actually got all the papers and stuff this time. My mom just told me she is going back to my dad. I cant tke this anymore! This has happended three times what makes her think this times going to be any different. I keep getting my life flipped up side down! When they were together my mom acted so depressed and my dad always yelled and told her to leave, they didnt even sleep in the same bed together.Me and my siblings were sad when she told us they were going to get a divorce and she said shes never going back and its over for real this time, i took it hard and sucked it up, i got used to our life now she throws this crap in my face! I cant take this much longer..im really hating my life right now. And all my aunts and uncles knew she was going to go back noone belived that this was real, i guess they were right.

I hate my friends!! They are so mean! They never email me! They never call me. When I see them all they talk about is their other friends! One time I didn't go to the camp we always go 2 and when they got back and said it was their best year ever!! When I was going there they always said they hated it! I'm sick of this! I cry about it all the time. What should I do? Please don't just say stop being their friend or whatever. I want them to know how I feel but when I try to tell them they act like its no big deal! Please help me! Tell me what I should do?

Let's say previously company MMM was owned by 6 shareholders. They hold 50%, 10%, 10%, 10%, 10%, 10% of company's share respectively. Now since this company made lots of money and the biggest share holder is going to leave, the company repurchased back those 50% share with its retained earning. We have only 5 shareholders now. Then, can we say virtually those 5 shareholders hold 20% share each ?

And, if retained earning is not enough to repurchase those 50% shares, can the biggest share holder let the company borrow money to complete the purchase?

I'm a college student living in a dorm right now and I fell off my lofted bed about an hour and a half ago after taking a nap (my alarm clock really startled me). I fell onto a sharp plastic object and now I have a gash on my leg. It was really bleeding bad, but it's stopped. My concern is that I have a really sharp pain there now, especially when I walk (I landed right on the bone). Should I see a doctor soon or do you think it will go away eventually? I don't really want to go because I'm in a city I'm not familiar with, but if it would create a problem if I don't go, then I definitely will. The doctor is on campus, but it's on the other campus of my school and that means a 15 minute bus ride.

If two men live together as a "couple" for 5 years in a state like CT,NJ,MA, or Rhode Island, and they break up. Can the person left behind sue for alimony and/or 1/2 the other persons pension as in a "common law" marriage? Everytime things are going well, I freak out. When I feel happy, I panic. To the point that when something bad happens I feel almost releived. I know its crazy, but those feelings are familar to me and being happy freaks me out because my past has proven it will only "last so long" before something bad happens~which it usually happens all at once. Sometimes I think I even CAUSE things to screw up just a little because, as much as I say I hate the drama, it feels like a rush when I get it. I want to break this pattern and am not sure how. Everyone is telling me counselling, yes I know it helps. But I have no choice but to work 40plus hours to support my 3 kids(I am a single parent) so I dont even have time for it. (And yes I am on medication) But I still crave cutting and sometimes almost hope for an excuse to do it and I know its sick and as much as I wanna let go, Im freaked out because part of me, in a sick way, likes the feeling. Im so conflicted adn I just want to stop the struggle

We met once before and again yesterday and had a really nice time....ended up going back to my place and fooled around but didnt have sex coz i refused....slept for a while then he left. I am 27 years old and have had increasingly more bouts with panic attacks and coping problems (crying over EVERYTHING) starting when I was 19 years old. 4 months ago my mother had a brain tumor removed (benign) and since her diagnosis, I have had crippling panic attacks and unconsolable crying/ feelings of hopelessness 2-3 times a week. I have quit my job, have no libido, and no energy whatsoever. My insurance doesn't cover any "mental health" issues (i've checked)....and I don't want to become addicted to taking medication everyday. What do I do to cope better and control my feelings of fear/anxiety/helplessness?
