Is the saying "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one" really accurate???

If this is true...what are your feelings on minority rights?? Should the needs of the few be taken into consideration at all?

If so, in what ways???

Just a few examples to consider...

The majority was in favor of slavery...we even fought a war over this one.

When women were obtaining the right to vote, the male majority was greatly opposed to this....why?

The majority were in favor of prohibition. The minority had that amendment overturned.

I'm sure there are other examples I failed to mention.

Should the minority have any say in opposition to majority rights???

I chose to ask this question in this section because many feel that when it comes to the topic of religion, that anybody who is not a believer needs to "sit down and shut up."

My 3 month old has been cleared for cereal. He loves to eat it but I have to give it to him before hes hungry. If I wait until he lets me know, its tooooo late. He screams so hard b/c the spoon doesnt move like a bottle and his belly doesnt fill fast enough.When that happen he chokes and cries harder so I just give him a bottle. Is the common?

my puppy is 11 weeks old and she sleeps in my room inside her crate, otherwise she cries...for how long should I do this before I can have her sleep by herself? Ideally that would be in the kitchen or family room area. I dont mind her being in the bedroom, but it's pretty small and it could mess up a love life :)

The bet was if I could get 10 kills against him in Halo 3 he would dress as a girl but if not I'd dress as a guy...I GOT 11. He's 5'8, 130, white and has brown hair and he's 17. We go back and forth embarrasing each other and he got me bad last time, so bad i dont even want to say what he did so dont ask. Really the only thing I can't do is anything permanent so just don't say anything like that. I already know I'm making him wear a mini skirt and heels. I wanted to have him wear a tank top but the tissues in the bra stick out so it dosn't look like he has a breasts. And i want him to have the figure 8 body but he's got no butt...lol. Should he have to shave his legs, tweaze his eybrows anything with a lot of details but I want him to really look like a girl not a crossdresser so no stupid answers.
P.S. He has to do anything i tell him to do that involves the costume...this is great!!!!

My husband received a job offer in Houston and we are considering taking it. We live in Los Angeles and my husband and daughters are hispanic. We are considering moving to an area like Sugar Land but I am concerned about everything you hear about Texas and racism. last night i kissed her on the cheek. and she blushed. i being the worst with women, took it as a rejection. so i explained to her that i liked her and hope fully become boy/ girl friend. then paniced and offered to finish some home work. while doing the HW i appolagised for what happened back there, she says "no no, i want to get to know you to. lets just see what happens". what a relief. then i reliesed that i see her every day in my first hour class. she seemed happier today, and said she was nervous, and felt weird. i couldent think of any thing to say, it was kind of akward. but now that the secrets out, should i just roll with it, or explain to her more. am i over stressing?

Do you get it in one or both eyes, do you get any physical symptoms?
What age do you expect to get it?
I have heard you must test your eyes if it runs in the family, but when do you need to test?
My left eye aches sometimes, I do have glasses for certain things, not all the time.
