If 3 cups of salt are used in 3 gallons of brothe, how many grams of salt would be in an 8OZ serving?

Just a question that a friend was trying to figure out. He eats a soup at a restaurant and the cook told him how much salt was being used for the whole pot. Thanks.

Yikes. There are 28 grams in an ounce. 14 grams of salt in your broth cup.

EDIT: I think I jumped from volume to weight. I hate math. If 1/16 of a cup=1/2 fluid ounce, that equals One Tablespoon. I think that's right.
