Okay, our theory is that everyone should be equal, and that criminals should have equal rights to everyone else after they've done their time.
Is there a philosopher who believes that everyone should be equal, and/or that after a person has served their punishment should be treated equally?

Mmmmmk, so God said "let there be light," and boom, everything went from there. Now, sound waves require a medium in which to travel. Since God hasn't "created" anything yet, how could he have said that? Also, where was God when he said it? There was nothing around him to hear him say that, so why would he say it? How do we know that he said it if we weren't "created" yet? Why would God tell us what he said in the Bible? Did the people who wrote the Bible not think this through all the way?

A year ago, I was having bad sinus infections. I was sick on and off for 3 months. I went to an ear, nose, and throat doctor who did a CAT scan to look at my sinuses. He put me on strong antibiotics to clear it all up. My sinuses are acting up again. I'm trying to prevent getting infections like I had last year. What can I do?

I'm in my 20's and have the most overprotective, old fashioned parents...sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes...it's kinda hard...

For me to get where i am today with their trust and for them not to get paranoid...is HUGE...i'm the oldest so they STILL have the hardest time letting go (even with the littlest things 16 yr olds can do grrr) I'm a simple girl and i usually don't go along w. the crowd...i've got values and i'm a smart cookie :) Being the oldest, i've kinda had to grow up and be mature compared to others my own age but of course, they'll see something else, as "innocent".

I was planning on having some on my bday until my cousin brought it up (getting me drunk) and of course, the FREAKED...the whole "drinking" thing didn't even come up w. them 'til now and they're back to freaking out again..

I have heard on the radio that they are about to ban even commercial watering. Lake Lanier in north Georgia has only 117 days of water reserve left. That is a staggering thought!

WE, the People of the broad, brown land of Oz, wish to be recognized as a free nation of blokes, sheilas and the occasional trannie.

We come from many lands (although a few too many of us come from New Zealand) and, although we live in the best little country in the world, we reserve the right to ***** and moan about it whenever we bloody like.

We are One Nation but we're divided into many States.

First, there's Victoria, named after a queen who didn't believe in lesbians. Victoria is the realm of Mossimo turtlenecks, cafe latte and grand final day. Its capital is Melbourne, whose chief marketing pitch is that it's "livable".

Next, there's NSW. It is the realm of pastel shorts, macchiato with sugar, thin books read quickly and millions of dancing gay-boys. Its mascots are Bondi lifesavers who pull their Speedos up their cracks to keep the left and right sides of their brains separate.

Down south we have Tasmania, a State based on the notion that the family that bonks together stays together. In Tassie, everyone gets an extra chromosome at conception. Maps of the State bring smiles to the sternest faces.

South Australia is the province of half-decent reds, a festival of foreigners and bizarre axe murders. They had the Grand Prix, but lost it when the views of Adelaide sent the Formula One drivers to sleep at the wheel.

Western Australia is too far from anywhere to be relevant in this document.

The Northern Territory is the red heart of our land. Outback plains, sheep stations, kangaroos, jackaroos, emus, Ulurus and dusty kids with big smiles. Although the Territory is the centrepiece of our national culture, few of us live there and the rest prefer to fly over it on our way to Bali.

And there's Queensland. While any mention of God seems silly in a document defining a nation of half-arsed agnostics, it is worth noting that God probably made Queensland. Why he filled it with dickheads remains a mystery.

We, the Lullaby League of Oz, are united, primarily by the Pacific Highway, whose treacherous twists and turns kill more of us each year than die by murder.

We are united in our lust for international recognition, so desperate for praise we leap in joy when a ragtag gaggle of corrupt IOC officials tells us Sydney is better than Beijing.

We are united by a democracy so flawed that a political party, albeit a redneck gun-toting one, can get a million votes and still not win one seat in Federal Parliament. Desirable, sure. But fair? Not when you consider Brian Harradine can get 24,000 votes and runs the bloody country. Not that we're whingeing.

We've chucked out the concept of "fair go" in the downsized '90s. Instead, we want to make "no worries" our national phrase.

We love sport so much our newsreaders can read the death toll from a sailing race and still tell us who's winning, in the same breath.

We treasure our politicians, who talk about listening with such persistence it's hard to get a word in. We tolerate our Prime Minister, who is not only short but a Methodist, hanging offences in decent countries. And we like watching Parliament on TV because Natasha Stott Despoja is a total spunkrat.

We, the wicked witches of the land of Oz, want to make it clear this continent is ours and always has been. Mind you, Liberal Party polling shows that there were some people here before Captain Cook so we should address the issue once and for all.

While possession is nine-tenths of the law, our ancestors were fortunate enough to discover that genocide, cultural extinguishment, baby theft and flour poisoning make up the other tenth.

So Oz is now ours and that's that. Our midget Methodist master says we have no reason to feel sorry for killing more Aborigines per capita than the Nazis did Jews and Liberal Party polling says we're OK with that.

Why don't we say sorry? In the words of our PM - because, because, because, because, because. Now, can we just drop the whole thing before the Olympics start?

Phew, with that nasty bit out of the way, we the Brain, the Heart and the Nerve of Oz, want the world to know we have the biggest rock, the tastiest pies and the worst-dressed Olympians in the known universe.

We don't know much about art but we know we hate the people who make it. We shoot, we vote. We are girt by sea and pissed by lunchtime. And even though we might seem a racist, closed-minded, sports-obsessed little People, at least we're better than the Kiwis.

Now bugger off, we're sleeping.

ok so i am in the process of joining the Army National Guard and one of my buddies in it said he is going to volunteer to goto Iraq and he told me that he will get like $100,000 for going ... I don't really believe him But is this true... The fact that his money will be saving up in the bank and he wont have to spend it is something i thought of or is he talking about a check... He wont ell me a straight answer lol...

Heard on the news earlier that 2 of O.J.'s co-defendents have reached plea agreements with prosecutors and will testify against O.J.

Do the authorities not realize who they are dealing with? This is O. J. Simpson------a great sports hero! He's already been thru hell when his wife was murdered and then he was falsely accused. Hasn't O.J.been thru enough? When will "the Man" leave him alone?

I filed a year ago for divorce and we've still not even signed a settlement agreement. He has not paid the mortgage which is resulting in foreclosure of our home in three weeks, he has not paid our school taxes and they are due today, he has not done our last year's income taxes yet, he has made himself virtually invisible to our two grown children. I've missed work due to mental anguish, and now due to the pending foreclosure, my credit rating which wasn't half bad is now shot. He has not contributed to any of the household expenses nor given me a single cent since this started one year ago. I make one quarter of what he makes. Can I sue him for any of this? His lawyer drags her feet as much as possible it seems and isn't working with him much. My lawyer waits for them to answer. Thank you in advance. New York State is my location.
Oh, and he has not lived in the house since Feb. of this year...he is living with his girlfriend.

Over 2 million out of a population of 300 million. More than China, whch has a population of 1.2 BILLION. More than India, with a population of 1 billion.

A bigger percentage than Cuba, North Korea, or Iraq under Saddam Hussein. Bigger than any Arab oil sheikdom. Bigger than zionist Israel. Bigger than Venezuela, Libya, or Chile under either Pinochet OR Allende. Bigger than South Africa, either under apartheid OR today.

Do you think that all of these people deserve to be behind bars? If so, what is it about the USA that causes its people to be criminally-inclined?

If they don't all deserve it, what is it about the USA that makes it oppress its people so much?

Why does the USA have the largest prison population of any country in the world?
