Our culture often confuses things like spreading the Gospel and rebuking others with the notion of judging others. But clearly they are not the same. After all, there is a command to rebuke others when they sin. And as you also mention, there is another command not to judge. Surely God has not contradicted Himself here.

That is what they will say to you that you are judging them, but we know that it is not so. If you were driving down the road and would see that the bridge is out , wouldn't you think that it is you duty to tell the people in the cars behind you ? What is different with the Word? We know that judgement is coming and that they are headed for distruction and we have to say something. God says that if they don't receive you just dust off your shoes and keep on walking. Once you speak the warning you have done your job and the bible says that the blood is not on your hands.

What's there to warn them about? Are you warning them that if they don't accept Jesus as their personal saviour then they're going to hell? Then you are judging them. This is the exact statement that turned me away from the church (at the ripe old age of 12...and other than for weddings and funerals, I haven't set foot in a church since). Even at that age, I could not believe that 98% of the world's population was going to end up in fiery damnation. I still don't. And when I questioned it, I got kicked out of Sunday School for asking too many questions.
You are also pre-judging people if you "warn them about hell" (you are assuming that they believe in hell).

1) No, that is not judging. Christians warn other Christians about hell all the time.
On Judging:
Judgment, in the Bible, was a legal process. Jesus spoke about the actual civil law of ancient Judea. Judgment was not discerning right from wrong, recognizing wrong-doing, or confronting people for doing wrong. Judging meant to punish wrong-doing according to the dictates of the civil law (i.e. eye-for-eye, tooth-for-tooth). Jesus argued that you should forgive those who (legally) trespass against you, rather than taking them to court and extracting the legal requirements of the law. That is what he said about judgment - the effort that you employ to punish the guilty is the same effort that God will exert to punish you for your sins.

The Bible tells us to spread God's Word. There is nothing wrong with saying that a person who doesn't believe in Jesus is going to Hell. That is exactly what the Bible says. That isn't judging.

Of course it's not judging. Warning people that their beliefs will send them to hell is preaching the Gospel and the Bible. Not judging according to Jesus.
And just so you know, most cut off the message of Jesus. He said don't judge until you know the truth. Then you are the judge of all things spiritual.

How are you judging them you are saving them from eternal hell. They bible tells you not to judge, but not when you are doing something. For example you steal something and then later you see someone else stealing and you go up to them and tell them not to steal you are judging them for something you just did. But the bible tells us to judge the sinner because what they are doing is wrong.

it is weird.
i dont believe in god or hell, yet i do not like it at all if someone say to me that i might go to hell because of ...
i think this is judging , judging while standing behind a big tree.
how do you feel if i tell you that i will pray for you so that your soul might be saved. because you judge.even though i am not a believer. I think you will go to hell according to the bible.

Yes, you are telling them that they are going to hell if they don't believe what you do. That my friend is by definition judgment.
