What Is NT?
Neurotypical syndrome is a neurobiological disorder characterized by preoccupation with social concerns, delusions of superiority, and obsession with conformity.

Neurotypical individuals often assume that their experience of the world is either the only one, or the only correct one. NTs find it difficult to be alone. NTs are often intolerant of seemingly minor differences in others. When in groups NTs are socially and behaviorally rigid, and frequently insist upon the performance of dysfunctional, destructive, and even impossible rituals as a way of maintaining group identity. NTs find it difficult to communicate directly, and have a much higher incidence of lying as compared to persons on the autistic spectrum.

NT is believed to be genetic in origin. Autopsies have shown the brain of the neurotypical is typically smaller than that of an autistic individual and may have overdeveloped areas related to social behavior.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Normal Disorders: 666.00 Neurotypic Disorder
How Common Is It?
Tragically, as many as 9625 out of every 10,000 individuals may be neurotypical.

Are There Any Treatments For NT?
There is no known cure for Neurotypical Syndrome.

However, many NTs have learned to compensate for their disabilities and interact normally with autistic persons.

Could I be NT?
Take the Online NT Screening Test.

About This Site
This site is an expression of autistic outrage.

About a year ago I learned I was on the autistic spectrum. Inspired by this discovery, I read everything I could get my hands on about the autistic spectrum. Much of it makes sense-- for the first time in 41 years, I had a description, albiet an unexpected one, that fit me.

But a lot of what I've found out there, mostly written by "experts" and "professionals", has been arrogant, insulting, and just plain wrong. My bête noire of the moment is finding my emotions described as "flat". As someone with considerably greater expertise in my emotions than the "experts", I can state unequivocally that my emotions are not "flat". They are different, yes, but they are most certainly not "flat."

Perhaps tomorrow I'll be fired up over being described as "lacking empathy". Or I'll be outraged at an exceptionally clueless "training" method being inflicted upon autistic kids. Or maybe it will be some new paper written by some "expert" from the perspective that neurotypical perception is correct, and my brain is a genetic mistake.

My brain is a jewel. I am in awe of the mind that I have. I and my experience of life is not inferior, and may be superior, to the NT experience of life.

Hence, this "Institute". Persons on the autistic spectrum and NT supporters are invited to submit papers to the Institute, and to share your observations in "Current Research" (the guestbook).

If there were two people to start the human race only then there would be inbreeding, correct? The children of adam and eve would have to have had sex w. either their parents or their grand parents or own kids, correct? How are there different races then? If adam and eve were white then how are there races?

Now, I perceive the tree of knowledge of good and evil as the mind that is divided, the polarities of mind being within their own facilities for growth. I see the serpent as the impulse for development. The problem is that division is seen as death or evil from a scriptural perspective, but it is a necessary thing in order to become complete in all ways. The fact that only when the tree of this duality was eaten was Adam/Eve whom are these polarities (They covered themselves, the areas which physically identify our sexes or forces, active/reflective), could have the possibility to eat from the Tree of life. Because it was a process by which the mind could become complete. Therefore the Tree of good and evil is the lesser incomplete state of the tree of life that is complete mind/Christ mind, one of death/division the other of life/harmony.

I see being driven out of "Eden" an sign that this process towards the minds development being active, out of the pre-evolved state/origin.

Wouldn't you have to spend your entire life dedicated to that fact just to be sure? Wouldn't you have to waste your whole, finite existence, making your every move and decision in consideration of this unlikely possibility?

Okay, I don't really know where I'm going with this. What was I doing? Oh, yeah...hi, everybody! :D

Okay, my front adult teeth are a little wiggly... Like if I put them on top of the bottom ones, and put my finger over them, and push down I can feel them move a bit... I'm 13, and I'm pretty sure that it's not from an injury... I told my mom and she said she'll call the Orthodontist. (I have no idea why she's going to call him, I don't have spacers or braces...) Anyways, I have an overbite and my front teeth don't touch the lower front ones... My gums are a little bit red, but barely... Like a bit darker than a light pink. I first noticed the wiggliness around a few months after the teeth first grew in when I was like 6. Can somebody tell me if this is normal, or not, and what I should do.

By the way, I do brush and floss daily. I didn't do so well on that for awhile, but I went to the dentist in August, and she didn't take x-rays, and didn't say my teeth were unheathly... I do brush twice a day and try (nearly every day.) to floss every day.

My Brother is a month shy of 16. He cusses and Treats my mom Horribly. He says rude things to people, but when you say something witty back he freaks out and gets all defensive. He throws others belongings around, even breaks them. He acts like a Martyr. I've tried my best with it and i am wearing thin. I've tried Buddhist Studies, Walking away, Ignoring, Avoiding contact and conversation. EVERYTHING. When you walk away he'll follow you, it doesn't matter where either. Anyone have any new ideas on what to do.

let's say you got pregnant on purpose because you stopped taking your birth control pills without your husbands knowledge. then you got pregnant, freaked out, and had an abortion by your choice. then after the abortion your husband was playing with his son from a previous marriage while you were resting. you then got all emotional came into your stepson's room, started cussing and saying that you just got your guts ripped out for this family and you wanted people to jump up and do things for you. meanwhile your stepson started crying. then as his father, i told you to go calm down and get out of his room because it's rediculous for you to say that in front of a 9 year old kid besides it was your decision. would you leave your husband for protecting his son from that or do you think it was all an excuse to leave? i don't think i did anything wrong. what do you all think?

OPERATING SYSTEM: Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition (will upgrade to XP Pro)
MONITOR: No Monitor
MEMORY: 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz- 2DIMMs (Will upgrade to 4GB)

SOUND Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio (Will upgrade to Sound Blaster)

My best friend's husband is a porn addict (yes, she knew that going into the marriage 7 years ago) and she feels like she's constantly being compared to porn stars during sex. She feels like she can't be vocal or herself during sex and plain just don't enjoy it anymore...they haven't been intimate in many months and now she feels like they're more just friends than a couple. She really has no desire for sex anyways, but does feel lately that she's being neglected. He ignores her in favor of video games when he's home.
But they have a new baby and she wants this relationship to work. I want both of them to be happy, but don't know how to advise her, so any help would be much appreciated!

I was married for 20 years and had 4 children. My second husband of 9 years is very nasty to my dhildren. One of the children and her family have been living with us for a year until they move into their own home. I am forever treading on eggshells while he is in their company (this goes for all the children), as he is so crass, rude and critical. He has 2 boys from his previous marriage which he doesn't see a lot of. I'm at my wit's end as his behaviour is ruining any love that I once felt for him. He gets looked after, as I cook, clean and wash for him, as well as working full time. He openly begrudges anything that I do for the children, and doesn't hesitate in letting them know it. He is a sticky beak who likes to know everything, including who I phone or email. He won't do anything by himself, but insists that I go with him. I'm beginning to feel more like a mother than a wife. It is getting so I do not want to do anything with him anymore, as he is such a cranky bugger.
