First keep in mind that the baby's fever can't be allowed to go as high as an older person. 100.7 may not seem that bad but if the baby's temp gets to 101 then they need to go in immediatly!!! This temp. can harm the baby! Keep contact with your doctor!
Keep useing tylenol drops to try to keep the fever down.
Do keep an eye on it though and be aware that too much and too high of a fever is harmful for your baby.
This might be a normal flu cold this is something that has been going around like crazy this year. With the cold symptoms do keep an eye also.
If you are really concerned take your baby to the doctor...even if it is again. Better safe than sorry!
You are doing a fine job!!

Is the other medicine motrin - or an ibuprofen?
Its safe to give both an ibuprofen (motrin) and an acetominophin (tylenol) However Ive never heard of mimic, just make sures its also not an acetomiophin, because then you'll be ODing on the same medicine. Tylenol is just the brandname.

Is this a prescription - a google on mimic didnt turn anything up.

Its the weather change. My son is sick right now as well. To get rid of the fever change between Childrens Motrin and Childrens Tylenol every two hourse. Each medication has different ingredients and is taken every 4 hours. So my dr. always tells me to give him medicine alternating the type every 2 hours.
My son broke his fever but now has a cough. They have a great Childrens Tylenol Plus for coughs.

Sounds like you're doing the right thing. And that may be all you can do. Check back in with the doctor and run things by him again.
I will swear by Baby's Tylenol. (No, it doesn't count as a cold medicine!) It's amazing. Unless baby's temp. gets above 103 degrees Fahrenheit, there is nothing you can do, unless doc advises elsewise.
Good luck to you!

keep a lukewarm/cold washcloth on his forhead damp not soaking wet. dont let it get too cold, if he has the chills put a warmer washcloth on his forhead though. try a nice lukewarm bath that helps. if the fever gets higher go to the hospital. if the meds arent reduceing the fever at all then call your doctor. its hard to keep them comfortable but try your best, sometimes they need to be held a little more and sometimes they just want to sleep. relax i know it is stressfull watching the little one have to go through that, but stressing about it wont make him better. :) good luck.

I come from a protracted line of hypersensitivity victims and the Nasonex and Flonase paintings extremely properly. Oh and there is Astelin nostril spray (it kinda burns nevertheless). They paintings via putting a variety of band help in case you will interior your nasal mucosa so as that as quickly as you breathe contained in the allergen it would not penetrate. issues that are enormous offenders of allergic reactions are posters in bedrooms, crammed animals, puppy dander and carpet. They make those overlays you get get to your pillowcases and mattresses that don't enable the airborne dirt and dirt mites get into your mattress and that i've got heard that those paintings wonders. yet another component that the allergists advise is to apply a funky mist humidifier on your room at night. not a heat one because of the fact the warmth ones may be a huge breeding floor for molds which will in common terms make it worse. as long as you sparkling your filter out generally it is going to paintings for a protracted time. those are in common terms some innovations that I unquestionably have chanced on that paintings for my relatives in case you do not prefer to take drugs. Tile or laminate flooring (surprisingly on your mattress room) is extra useful because of the fact it would not charm to the airborne dirt and dirt mites like carpet does.

if tylenol doesn't take it away or if it keeps coming back it could be an infection(ear,bronchitis,etc.). call your doc again and in the meantime i get a cool washcloth and rub their body with it til the fever breaks. good luck.
