9/11 even happened. How can the neocons say that their massive, unconstitutional surveillance of all domestic communication is "to protect America from the terrorists" when 9/11 didn't even happen yet? It's well documented that in the months leading up to 9/11, bush brushed off the issue of terrorism. He all but ignored the urgent warnings from foreign intelligence agencies of the impending attack. He never called even one high-level meeting on the subject of terrorism.

The Soviet KGB spied on its own citizens, not to protect the country from outside threats, but to protect the the corrupt ruling class from internal challenges that came from the country's own citizens. We all know about cheney's desire to maintain a "permanent republican majority." Did the neocons want to spy on patriotic Americans in order to protect their power base from the people of America? Why else would they want to gain such an illicit advantage over the citizens of America?

I HATE my parents, I HATE my "friends", I HATE school, I HATE my life...I've been through too much pain and misery with them to not feel Hatred.Now I hate everybody else; I pretty much HATE everybody in the world with extreme prejudice, regardless of sex,religion,race,etc.There's nothing wrong with that, is there?My hatred is justified because I've been wronged by the people whom I should trust the most...I hate ppl and wish that they would suffer as much as I did and still do.I'm pretty sure that lots of other kids can relate to me. The day I stop hating people is the day that everyone stops treating me like dirt. You'll probably respond with something like, "You're just going through a phase" or "Get over yourself, life isn't that bad" or some other crap...no, if people suck that much right now, I'm pretty sure that people will suck much more once I get to the 'real world'...I dont listen to rock, metal, emo music, I like songs like Phantom, CAMP even happy songs.Yet hate is my life

my brother worked in a hotel this summer, cleaning rooms.and then he found a cheque worth 200$, in one of the rooms he was cleaning.. he went to the bank and was given the money.. but now the manager of the hotel tracked him down ( it appears to have been his)..besides returning the money to the manager, which my brother already did..can this issue lead to court?thanks.

I'm not sure if I'm phrasing my question above correctly, so I am rephrasing it several ways:
Before someone presents their statement in front of any Senate Committee, are they sworn to tell the truth?
Can the person be held accountable for anything they say to a Senate Committee?
Is it legal for the person's testimony to include false information and/or include false statements of having implemented a solution to a problem (when in fact, the solution had never been implemented)?

What happens if a person is caught lying to the Senate? What are the repercussions?

I'm not sure why they're not legal, when someone loves another person why can't they legally marry them =S
I'm not too sure about bringing children into the equation, maybe then it gets a bit difficult because you're affecting another life. But as a gay couple you should be able to legally marry

I am working at a place that middle management is killing by focusing on statistics and not the goals of the company. I not really sure if a whale like this company can move to hit its mark or it will fail. I hear things that make me have faith. Leaders with vision that make me desire to fight that fight and bring that extra 25% of effort to the table. But there are so many people that can fail to see the big picture and go full speed at iceburgs and fools that praise them for their being a fool. I was in the Arthur Anderson mess and have learned that if it seems bad it usually is. Am I jaded ?
