I bought a decent computer (which I am considering taking back). It has decent specifications and a large hard drive but only a 4200 RPM hard drive speed. How much will lthis slow down my computer? Is it reason enough to take it back because of the slow RPM. It is 1.66 intel duel core. 2 gigs ram. wireless N 15.4 screen. I bought it for $95-

Are you sad that Ramadan is over? I am. The days flew by so quickly, it seemed like only 1 week, not 1 month.
What are your plans for Eid Day?
I hope you all have a great day InshaAllah.

I asked both of the men Im seeing to come to my house so we could all talk. They both knew I was seeing the other. Both of them show up and I explain that I have no intention on choosing. I let them both know I liked them equally and i wanted things to remain the same. They both agreed and left.

Now one of them is SUPER mad at me saying that I am wrong for trying to keep them both. My problem is that I offered each of them the space to not be down with the situation. I told the truth and they both seemed ok abt it. Why is he trippin all of a sudden?

Heard an interview on V103 Chicago this morning w/Michael's father and Al Sharpton; please browse internet for more information. Michael is back in jail for violating probation, in front of same judge that tried him as an adult; father lost his job; family has to pay over $600/month for counseling WHILE HE IS IN JAIL. Anyone ever heard of such a thing? And the 10 months in jail he already served (as an adult, mind you) does not count as time served.

What is wrong with the people of Jena????

Please let me hear your thoughts.

I am good friends with a woman who has a son the same age as mine--almost two. She seems to be pushing the feminist role on her son which is fine for her but I just don’t understand it.

She has bought her son dolls, feminine dress up clothes, and all of the little princess movies. I feel would be okay had he wanted them but he doesn’t even play with them. She seems to think that the more she pushing the ‘nurturing feminine’ role on to her son the more kind he will be.

Maybe I’m stuck in one set of mind but unless my son asked for a doll or a girly toy I wouldn’t get it for him. I doubt he will because he’s very much into ‘boy’ things. The older they get the further they drift apart because of this difference in play preferences.

If you try to make your son a bit more feminine why do you do it?

What do you think of doing this? Could it cause problems?

Thanks!

Last weekend their mother was rude to us (my husband and I) all weekend, the children had events that we all attended. She has always wanted to break us up, she had 2 affairs when they were married and I think she realizes what she is missing and wants him back. She doesn't want us together or happy, that has been made clear....I have not said a word to this woman in 3 years other than hello. However, last weekend I made a simple factual statement about where our jumper cables were because her car wouldn't start and the kids started telling me to shut up, that it was none of my business and they just completely lost it with me. I think it was because of the tension they feel when their mother is around us, however I told them at the time "don't talk to me that way" "I am not angry at this situation, this is no ones fault", they continued to yell at me. I know that in the past the oldest, 16 the only daughter has gone home and told lies about things that go on in our home, about

I was just giving this some thought: In what way are Christianity and science similar and how does this impact on the morality of its "followers"?

Both Christianity and scientists (ok, call them atheists) have set up a perfect system, an ideal... to which each is asked to strive for. In the case of Christianity, the truth and moral perfection is Jesus. In the case of science, it's also truth and perfection - we call science and mathematics.

And in both cases, perfection is humanly unatainable. So, how are they different and how does this impact on Christians and atheists? Christianity set up a system of punishment and humiliation for those that disobey its laws. So does science. It's called the scientific method which by its nature was designed to be self-correcting, but there is no punishment involved (perhaps there is some shame in getting it wrong) but most scientists understand "that's how the system works".

What do you think?

I thought I was going out of town for the weekend, so he had planned a house party. I came home early from work yesterday and I learned of his plans. I wouldn't mind a few people coming over, but he has so many drug addicted friends. I saw a bag under his dog bed that had glow sticks and vicks inhalers in it. I asked him if it was going to be a full blown rave including ecstasy, and he said no. I think he is lying. How can I let him know that I love him and I don't want him going down this path?

Ok, I asked a question earlier about a religion that doesn't judge but apparently it is to much to ask of some, not all, to let God be God and not think ourselves as all knowing with the only truth. So, I will ask this. Are there teachings out there that teach how important it is to love and respect eachother, to care for and help others, that it only hurts ourselves and others to lie, cheat, steal, and knowingly cause harm? Maybe it is not a religion I am looking for but I feel I need some direction, suggestions.
