I would be honored to shake Gore's hand and tell him to his face how big a hypocrite he is.

Neenie - this hypocracy you speak of...is it anything like "carbon credits" that enable wealthy Global Warmists to continue their jet-setting lifestyles without guilt?

I'll acknowledge him for being a great conartist; oops, I mean salesman. My question, what has he done that is real towards a solution to the problem? Has he used that "Superior" Intellect to change the economics of Renewable Energy?
It is going to take some one at the Presidential Level to change the economics of Renewable Energy. Renewable energy will never be able to compete directly with the energy that made it at the price the infrastructure was created with.

I'd love to tell him that his quest for power and glory via scaring or shaming people into buying the false global warming theory is a damn shame and that he is a disgrace for using people in this manner.
Unfortunately rank and file liberals need to feel good about themselves and they get that satisfaction through intentions not results- they have naive but good intentions so the fct that they are being used to help eradicate freedom and form a one world government doesnt matter.
For the earlier poster, CO2 is a very small percentage of greenhouse gas with water vapor being roughly 97% of it. However we can call Gore a hypocrite because HE claims CO2 causes global warming (though most agree it follows not leads) and yet continues to produce multiple times more than the average American that he attacks for driving an SUV. If he didnt attack others for CO2 exhaust then he wouldnt be a hypocrite for being a high CO2 expeller. That is what hypocricy is, telling others to do one thing then doing another.

My criticism on those who call Gore a hypocrite is this. Try not to strain yourself:
1. It originates from people who don't believe in global warming, and therefore don't believe CO2 causes it. As such, promoting how much CO2 Al Gore produces a year is irrelevant to their point since that theory is a de facto admittance that global warming is caused by CO2. Since they don't believe that, why do they point out how much totally irrelevant CO2 he produces?
2. If their point is that he's a hypocrite, then the only people they could be proving that he's a hypocrite too with how much CO2 he produces are people who believe in anthropogenic global warming. Those people also know what carbon sinks are and know that, for example, how much CO2 went into producing An Inconvenient Truth is totally irrelevant, since it was also made carbon-neutral.

We should be able to set aside our differences and be glad that a famous American has won an honor. If he's a hypocrite, it's only in the most trivial of ways; heating a big old house that serves as his office; taking a limousine when it's required for security.

NO! It has been decades since the nobel peace prize went to a truly deserving recipient. Gore would do well to be honest with the folks, his exaggeration and quick to ignore all the facts is not a respectable point of consideration. Even UK in story yesterday quoted at least 9 errors in the inconvenient truth propaganda scare tactic.

You should be ashamed of yourself. The Nobel Peace prize is a prestigious award. And I am proud an American has won it.
Why don't you do something for the environment today?

At first I was ready to send a rebuttal to your question...but after further review...I have to agree.
I had the opportunity to do so with former President Clinton, but I turned down the opportunity...I wish I would have had the knowledge and forethought to meet with President Clinton back then and tell him how much of hypocrite he is.

Alexander Fleming didn't have to have an infection, in order to invent penicillin.
Give the man his due; put aside your obvious political bias, and take the day off from work to celebrate the achievement of the man who would have been president in 2000.
