I bought a brand new Dodge Grand Caravan in 2005,i kept the van serviced and clean. I never ran this 3.8 engine hard and it blew up with 44,000 miles on it.
The extended warrenty covered the cost of my blown engine, lucky for me i paid the extra grand for the seven year 70.000 mile plan. I wander how many outhers were'nt so lucky.
I'll never buy anouther vehicle without the extended plan!

With the recent reports of lead in lipsticks, and the increasing cost of cosmetics over-the-counter, I would like to be able to mix up some of my own at home. This would also make a great craft for kids. Does anybody have any recipes for makeup I can whip up at home?

reasons why?

I catch it worse whenever I say that one of my reasons for not wanting children is that I don't have patience with them. I KNOW I'D BE A HORRIBLE MOTHER. TRUST! I KNOW THIS!

People launch into the whole "what kind of person can't tolerate children" routine and tell me that I could find the patience if I really wanted to. They continue by saying that people like me are the types who abuse and kill innocent children. Blah, blah, blah.

I don't understand. I've always felt that I'm doing the right thing by not subjecting children to my impatience. I don't want to mistreat children. Why would people accuse me of this when it's one of the very reasons why I don't want any? I accept that, for whatever reasons, I can't tolerate children. Don't you think that's exercising good judgment on my part?

I know that graphite is molecule that conducts electricity becuase it has free electrons. However, I found that there are only 7 electrons in every graphite's outermost shell . Everything in nature need 8 electrons in their outermost shell to be stable. Isn't it? Who can help me to explain it by the principle of valence shell. Thanks.

When you're feeling blue, down, nostalgic, etc., which foods give you comfort?

I make Mama's macaroni and cheese. It's custardy, not saucy. You can cut it into squares if you want.
It always reminds me of mama.

My twin used to make homemade vegetable soup. That's another one.

Homemade "cheese straws" are something else. There is nothing better. No bakery comes close to the ones I make (my great grandmama's recipe.)

My baby, Ruth, snickers when I tell her I plan to go to Mars. She says, “Oh Henry, stop being silly." But my friends and I, the Three Musketeers as we like to be called, have been offered a big Payday, over 100 Grand each, to go. I am not the Zero I once was, and my friends don’t act like Goobers anymore. We are real Smarties now and we all want to make Mounds of money. So, when it’s Crunch time, we will blast off into the Milky Way. We are all a little scared, but we are not content to Nestle in this land of Milk and Honey when we can be in Orbit. So we are off to make a mint and have some Chuckles too. When we get back, we should be able to live on 5th Avenue if we want to. We will not have all the money in the world, but we might qualify as a Junior Mint once we get those…Whatchamacallit…Oh yea, endorsements. So Twixt then and now, wish us Good and Plenty of luck too.

Today's (12/10/07) New York Times says:

"Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, visiting London just days after the prime minister announced that he would remove half of the 5,000 British troops in Iraq by spring, said Thursday that Britain remained “America’s closest ally” and that the force reductions were being made with the full consent of the United States."

Consent, i.e. "permission". How gracious of him!

What would he have done if the British left without his consent - nuke the UK?

I've been reading some of the history of Islam and teachings in the Koran and find some things confusing.
In the beginning Mohamed was told to tolerate the unbelievers.
Later he was told "O Prophet, strive hard against unbelievers and be firm against them." Sura 9:73 and to kill the infidels where he found them, etc.
I know many Muslims are trying to live down the terrorist image acquired through fundamentalists.
But what do you do with this kind of thing?
When the Koran teaches two opposite things, do you just choose the one you like best?
Or go with the last one, as being the final revelation or a sort of amendment?
Or what do you do?
Can you explain? Thanks
