Does being a communist automatically make you a thug? Was Saint Paul a Thug when he suggested communism to the first Christian Communities? (They were to all put all their moneys into the church, then redistribute it evenly throughout the community)
I'm not a communist, because Communism doesn't work. It works as well as corporate-fascism. (Fascism by definition is corporate and government connection) The best system is the American system of Regulated Capitalism. (Not lawless capitalism, but our great corporations following the law)
If Nelson Mandela was a communist, and this is what he believed, however wrong, does this make him a thug, like some reicht-wingers would say? Should the peace he fought for be ignored? I hadn't realized so many American right-wingers were pro Apartheid.

Hello,
Has anyone had this operation, and what is the success rate.
My Wife has been advised that it will help her to regain use of her right thumb which is very painful, but she is very nervous of having this proceedure on only the surgeons recomendation, as she points out surgeons operate on people, that is their job.
Perhaps if anyone can tell us how successful the operation is, how much pain and scarring there is, and how long before the hand can be used in the normal way.
How the thumb is kept immobile after the operation and for how long.
Any information will be welcome to help her decide if it is for her.
Thanks.

My father in law has a tumour,i think it's on the tube leading from the liver,if they tried to remove it there's a 50% chance he wouldn't survive the op. The docs given him 12 months. I have read liver cancer is the most fatal, with least chance of survival. If anyone has been through this, please can you give me some advice with what to expect. My husband is still hopeful, but i want to be well informed of the outcome so i can help, thanks.

On Yahoo Answers I mean?

I often find such people have very little of interest to say.

I'd rather be a free thinker than an educated snob.

What is the best way to go about gathering the sleeves and neckline of my peasant blouse that I made? So far it is a shirt that is about twice the size of my body (I did this so that I could gather the fabric along the top of the shirt.) Should I run a ribbon through it to gather it, and tie it in the back? This is for a pirate costume so it does not have to look perfect.

Thanks!

Global warming and the protection of the environment should be a paramount concern and certainly Al Gore has contributed to awareness of the problems facing us, our children and, with a bit of luck, our grandchildren, but maybe there should be another category.

I hate to even bring it up because it's "that" time of year again...& we haven't had any problems since we had siding put on a year ago (touch wood). Before that it happened All the Time - they used to come in the attic & gravitate to other areas of the house: basement, cubby-hole..I even had to chase one from under my dining room table! Last year, when I went into the attic to make repairs Yet Again...there were already baby squirrels in a nest so I had to take them outside & thankfully the Mommy squirrel came & got them...Why do they give you SO many characters to work with & why am I going On & On about squirrels...!? I think I need to go have some more coffee....

I had several bottles delivered yesterday. The five gallon ones ones. As I was signing the reciept, I noticed one of them had, what appeared to be, a mouse floating around in it. When I asked the deliveryman about it, he said that no, it wasn't a mouse but a Kangaroo Rat. The bottleing company, in the interests of animal protection (it is an endangered species) is mandated by Federal law not to harm nor interfere in any way with the life nor reproduction of that particular species.

Well, I'm all in favor of protecting our wildlife, but it still just looks like a dead mouse to me.

What an awful situation this is. I can't imagine what I'd do. When my children were 10 months old, there's no way I could have given them up, it would have broken my heart. However, i know that I'd also want my biological child back. Impossible situation.
I'm also a stepmother, with two step kids living just down the road. We see them every other day after school until the evening, and they stay with us every other weekend. This works well, they have two sets of loving parents, and are well adjusted kids. Could this sort of routine be the answer?
What would you do?

From what I understand, there are Michigan tax laws allowing deductions for renters and lendees, but what about those responsible people who have chosen not to live their lives in debt (i.e., have no mortgage or rental dues)? Are they just out of luck?

How does Al Gore win the Nobel PEACE Prize for his efforts on the environment. Obviously they ignore the fact that he flies a gas guzzling private jet EVERYWHERE he goes. His mansion in Tennesee uses more electricty in a month than the average home does in a year. His 2 other homes aren't energy efficient either. Hmmmm, I thought the PEACE prize was for people who made PEACE, not PCBs! Can anyone clarify this?
