Pastor Billy says: whose truth? There are many non-Catholic groups claiming to be the Church of God who interpret the bible for themselves and yet disagree with each other and still call themselves Christian, is this confusion truth? is this confusion Christianity?
Without the Catholic Church writing the NT, compiling the complete Christian bible OT and NT, perserving the scripture, copying the scripture and transmitting the scripture there is no way those who now oppose the Catholic Church those who protest (Protestant) the Catholic Church would have the bible at all.
The Christian bible as we know it is a Catholic book that has never ended being true.

No, it is not true.
And I beg to differ, again, with Rudy -- but "Recently, the Pope has said that they see no problem with the theory of Evolution" is a grossly deliberate over-generalization. Here is what John Paul II had to say on the subject. If you care to read it, you'll see that there are limits to which the Church will go in embracing scientific theory. http://www.ewtn.com/library/PAPALDOC/JP961022.HTM
The Church has always, and will always, affirm that the Bible is the true revealed Word of God. To say otherwise is, not to put too fine a point on it, a bold-faced lie.
I don't know if the KJV 1611 advocates are aware of this, but this translation of the Bible came from the Latin Vulgate -- with a bit of modification here and there to suit the emerging theology of the Reformation. The Douay-Rheims "Catholic" translation was done at the same time, from the same source, though retaining all of the original Deuterocanonical books of the Old Testament. Other than these, we are using the same Bible, boys and girls. It didn't get handed to the Apostles in the King's English, and therefore yours is no more or less "real" than ours.
Dragging up, yet again, the usual laundry list of Catholic practices and doctrines that fundamentalists object to as a means to "prove" the Church doesn't go by the Bible is getting very, very old. All of these are Scripturally based. As always, it is a matter of interpretation. Those who take the time to actually read the Catechism will see Scriptural references throughout, backing up each point of doctrine. As far as other practices, such as using rosary beads, this is not required of Catholics but is a popular (and heavily Scripturally based) devotional practice.

Yes, we do.
There is a fundamental difference between truth and fact.
It is true that God exists but I cannot prove it.
It is a fact that President Bush said he invaded Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction but it is not true.
Catholics believe that the Bible teaches truth about God but it is not historically factual at all times.
The Bible's primary purpose is to teach us the truth about God and His (or Her) love for us and how we should love each other, not to teach facts about history or science.
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

No, it's not true. Check your sources, please. The Catholic Church believes the Bible is absolutely true and follows the teaching within it.
P.S. The poor misguided folks above who say the King James is the only true Bible are seriously mistaken. If the only true Bible was not available until 1611, then that means Jesus DID "leave us as orphans" with no guidance at all, but He promised He wouldn't in John 14:18. It would be a contradiction against the Lord Himself to say that the Bible is our only guide but it didn't come into existence until 1611. Of course, it's not their fault they've been taught a lie, but we should pity them and try to help them learn the truth.

Gee, I wonder why the Catholic Church celebrates Mass seven days per week, 365 days of the year, and at each mass at least three readings from the Bible is proclaimed. After each reading, it is proclaimed that what was heard is the Word of the Lord, to which the congregation responds, "Thanks be to God."
If Catholics do not believe in the truth of the Bible, but yet still proclaim it as the Word of God for which we give thanks, we are indeed pitiful creatures.

In the same way the Watchtower's says it's authority overshadows the Bible, the Catholic Church does the same thing.
It is really no use to argue about any of these cults where the Bible is concerned, why? Because they claim the Popes word are equal or higher then God's. This is outragous, but the Catholic Church organization is very simular to Jehova's witness and other cults.
Now, if you want the true Bible, I suggest you read Directly from teh Bible, the King James Bible of 1611. Directly, vs. looking at everything at the angle to fit the dogma of the overseeing organization? No, looking at the word of God without anyone telling you what you should believe.
Recently, the Pope has said that they see no problem with the theory of Evolution. This is calling God a liar, and if you were a true Christian, and true believer you would have a very big problem with calling God a liar.
The Bible says there is only one mediator between God and man. The Catholic chuch likes to claim they are the ones. HOWEVER, I beg to differ, and SO does the WORD OF GOD. It say Jesus CHRIST is the ONLY mediator between God and Man.
I pray the Holy Spirit will come to them, and begin to open their eyes to the True, uncorrupted word of God.
They have corrupted the word of God, and made it a lie.

Heck no it's not true! Just take a look at the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It's so chalked full of scripture it's boring.

The Roman Catholic Church is apostate because it has subverted the authority of Scripture by clinging to human traditions. If the papal church is to be cleansed of its heresies, gross idolatries and its theological relativism, it must repent and return to the Scriptures alone. The root must first be cured before the diseased and poisonous fruit is replaced. The Bible, the whole Bible and nothing but the Bible must be the standard for faith and life.

Our priest swears by: "And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight. And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them." (Ezekiel 4:12-13)
