What does feminism have to do with the environment? Survival of our species may depend on greater understanding between men and women. Eco-feminists seek a more balanced relationship between humankind and the Earth. Is it time for some further change or do we look temporarily in amazement then return to what we were doing without much thought?

Eco-feminism looks at attitudes and worldviews that differ based on male and female perceptions of life. Whether gender difference is biological or social is in hot debate. But it seems our most effective influence will be in the social sphere. Our ability to homogenize those perspectives may result in better environmental policies.

This is somewhat similiar to the first question I asked on R and S today. What would you consider to be the greatest power you have? Would it be your faith, love, hope, or wealth? I imagine for most atheists, their power remains in the substantial things in life, like wealth through money, cars, and bogos nonessential things. A Christian's power remains in faith of God, love of God, and hope in God. Am I being too stereotypical of atheists or what? They have love, but it's not the same love religious people possess. Being an Atheist is like:

A king without his crown,
A pitcher without the mound,
The sky without the ground,
Or music without the sound.

All opinions welcome.

My friend is 5 months pregnant and has become very very low. Obviously ladies put on wieght when having a baby but it is really bothering her, she has gone from a size 8 to a frumpy size 14, she has had a bad break out of spots and she has dark circles under her eyes. She is so miserable and really hates herself at the mo. Every time she looks in the mirror she cries. Are there any other pregnant girls who feel the same? What can I do to make her feel better?

When i first began menstruation at the age of 13, my cycle was never regular unless i was on the pill. i started taking BC when i was 16 to prevent pregnancy. okay. i went off the birth control pill in september of 2006 because i wanted to get pregnant. i didn't get my period for 6 months after that, and finally went to the doctor. he prescribed me provera in order to get my period and maybe get my cycle back. i also got bloodwork done and my thyroid came back normal along with everything else.

i started taking the provera at the end of march and got my period april 12th. then i got my period again may 14th, june 16th, and july 11th.

july 11th is the last time i saw my period.

i don't know what to do! i'm ttc so i don't want to go back on the pill, but if everything is coming back normal then i don't know what is going on. should i maybe try provera again to get myself started again?

is there any medication that will make me regular without protecting me from pregnancy?
