i asked a question and loads of people said they didn't believe in the moon landings - whats that about?

it could not have been a hoax for one very simple scientific reason..... you cant fake the direction of radio and tv transmissions ... if neil armstongs "one giant leap for mankind" had come from anywhere else except the moon then millions of radio hams and scientists around the world would have spotted it in seconds.......where do you aim your tv satallite dish? yeah space

I saw a special on this a couple months back and I heard all kinds of arguments and rebuttals that I never knew were issues. Afterwards I looked some of it up online and didn't find anything as comprehensive as the topics explored in the show. But Wikipedia does a nice job of outlining some of the main concerns. It may have even been a MythBusters topic... but they did a really interesting experiment to explore the idea that the flag wasn't waving and the angle of lights and the affect of the dust. They went out in the middle of the desert to simulate the moon conditions... very interesting. LOL

There are a lot of people who belive that the moon landing was a hoax. They really think that the whole event was taped inside a studio somewhere. I've heard that people think the US was worried that another country would get there first, so they staged it. You can read plenty about it if you google "moon landing hoax"

There are several discrepancies regarding certain physics such as no blast crater under the lander. A lot of the photos do not add up and even Hasselblad (manufacturers of the cameras) are bemused by what they have seen.

Also, the lighting and shadows are all wrong!

Apart from those, there are other issues!

One thing that amazes me is why, with all the advances we have made, do we not return? I watched a docmentary and NASA have almost run out of moonruck for their research due to the amount (miniscule) that was brought back. Come on NASA, go back up there and get some...

It’s all true. We never went to the Moon. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin never set foot on Mare Tranquilitatus. They filmed it all on a soundstage in Nevada’s Area 51.We now know from reputable sources that the Soviets were about to upstage the American Apollo 8 and Apollo 11 missions by sending cosmonauts to orbit the moon. But their rockets failed, which some people believe is even more proof that it is impossible to send people to the moon.

Well, Rupert Murdoch's Fox network makes a completely misleading documentary and lo and behold, that outweighs all scientific evidence to the contrary. I'm sure the USSR or China would have cottoned on pretty quickly if there were any doubt about the moon landings.

I believe its not a hoax. I've landed on the the big moon. It was alive and well. Or was I dreaming and delusional? After all, I am bipolar..Ha ha

Alot of people think that it was staged - like a movie would be done...Oddly, my grandfather (who has long since passed away) believed that it was all done in Hollywood. I guess at his age he just could not wrap his head around the fact that there were men on the moon.

i dont know if they were but there are those who honestly believe it was a hoax. some conspiracy with the government. just like there are those who 'honestly believe' the holocaust never happened. some are paranoid and others dont want to admit the truth
