Because they can't stop the war, so they are going to sabotage it, by alienating our allies, one at a time. This was a calculated stunt that may get us even closer to WW III and they know that, and they want to blame it on Bush. Turkey has been itching to go into Iraq for the Kurds. But because of the US they haven't. But now this might be their chance and then what? If Turkey goes in, then Iran, then Syria, then Russia, then China, then WW III. It's coming and don't think for a minute that it isn't. These countries are just waiting in the wings, they are prepared and all they need is an excuse.

If not now, when? Albania is an ally FOR THEIR OWN GOOD, not for ours'. In spite of this recognition, it remains in the best interests of Albania to remain an ally.

We are proof that a country can have "unpraiseworthy occurences" in it's past and be a friend today. What country DOESN'T have a "history"?

Well, I believe that America should go on record to denounce the Armenian genocide for what it was, but, I agree that if the democrats were truly interested in doing this they could have done it before now. As much as it pains me to say it, I also agree that with so much reliance on Turkey to transport needed supplies to sustain operations in Iraq, they could have picked a more appropriate time to do it.

The dems will stop at nothing to win an election. Passing the resolution has nothing to do with genocide or human rights. I bet half the dems never even heard of Armenia before their talking-points people gave them their daily propaganda. It is treasonous. But when has that ever stopped the dems before?

But you see then the Dems can say the Reps had no right going into Iraq because they knew we would be defeated. They want to fail in Iraq so that helps their arugment. Yes it should be treason.

yeah well the over one million dead armenians would disagree with you.

if turkey decides to sever relations over this thing that happened 100 years ago, then they were no friend to begin with.

if we give in on this point on history - what's next?

better to find out what they are really made of now.

the turks should be apologizing to the armenian people who they tried to wipe out.

but if this puts an end to the war in iraq, i say it's a BRILLIANT move!

umm probably, when our President is pointing the finger at everyone as genocidal war criminals, its time to quit ignoring the bigger ones, just because it suits him.

If those people are going to start attacking our troops or remove out bases just because we say...oh your part in attempting to kill all armenians was wrong, they really aren't any sort of ally we need.

Treason is knowingly deconstructing America (and her government) through conservative spend and tax cut methods.
