Can't think of anything. Fresh oranges are even a better source of Vit. C than OJ, and we process the carbs better in the fruit form rather than the juice form. One obvious reason is that we KNOW the orange is fresh... we don't know that about OJ.

Vit. C is added to the juices, but usually more than our bodies need... or use. The orange is 69 calories. An 8 oz. glass of OJ is about 110 calories.

I don't know of anything specific that would be bad about oranges; however, it makes sense that too much orange juice could result in high acid intake which could contribute to acid reflux.

Sometimes they arent nice and sometimes when your pelling them it stings your fingers well it hurts mine and you can get the acid in your eye and that KILLS trust me and also those white stringy bits i hate them... AND IT DOESNT RHYME WITH ANYTHING So if you got orange at the end of a line in your poem.. your pooped

They're not good if you have stomach problems like ulcers or acid reflux. Those fruit acids really do a number on the tummy!

I believe that oranges are not good for people with arthritis. This applies to any citrus fruit actually.

They are bad subjects for poetry, because very few words rhyme with "orange." "Singe" and "hinge" are the only words I can think of and it's not a perfect rhyme for either one.

The pesticides used could be dangerous... and of course any geneticly altered variety will probably turn out to be cancer causing too...
