I was wondering about this.

The 1911 is a very old pistol design, it's been around for a very long time. It is tried and has proven itself and the design has changed very little over time. Aside from a few adjustments here and there, it's the same as it was so long ago.

Why is it that on average, 1911 pistols are quite a bit more expensive than other popular pistols? A 1911 from Kimber, Springfield Armory, S&W, SIG, Colt, etc. etc. are almost always over $1000 new.

You can get a brand new Beretta 92/96, Ruger P89, Smith and Wesson metal frame like 4006, CZ75, Glock, and quite a few other models for pretty much 1/2 the price of many of the popular 1911 company models.

What is it that makes the 1911 so much more expensive to produce than so many of these others?

the contents of a household of 5 -- including a storage space (the contents of his townhouse) ---into a 3 bedroom, 1 bath home?

Furniture first? Just pile it all up and then sort it out? How do I do this?

I think I want to set up storage in the basement first and then as things come into the house either they go to a designated destination, or they get stored in the basement.

ok, its a horror movie i guess, but i remember it was really bad. this is all i remember...
there two sisters that pick up a drunk guy from a bar and take him home. they convince him to stay and eventually one of them marries him, because they need a kid. the guy is a painter. the sisters live in their house they grew up in and sometimes there's ghosts running around of children. the sisters have a secret that one of them wants to tell the guy, but the other sister said they cant because of what their father said b4 he died. later the other sister falls in love with the guy. a few times the guy tries to leave the house but the sisters won't let him. near the end theres a fire in the painting room, and the house burns down.

umm yeah it was the most confusing movie ive ever seen, and nobody probably has ever heard of it

I have a 5 year old son, and I've always been very flexible on what types of movies and video games he plays. I've always been more concerned with limiting the time to video games and movies, not so much the content. He's watched band of brothers with me, and likes it alot. He also likes to play violent video games like Halo and Saints Row. I know the concept of letting my son shoot cops on a video game is repulsive to some, but I've always tried to catch him off guard with questions considering the difference between reality and movies/games and he almost reacts like I'm stupid for asking, of course he knows the difference. He has a good sense or morality to him, and even asks very inquisitive questions like "Why are they fighting each other, why are the Germans the bad guys, etc." It actually invokes a lot of thoughtful questions from him, yet he never expresses any violent sentiments at all (except maybe while playing a game). Any thoughts?

Ive been pumping my milk and feeding it to him by bottle and ive made enough to feed him like that
but yesterday i figure id try and breastfeed again because he was on my chest and moving around like he was looking for my nipple
and all day i have been breastfeeding him
but he still seems hungry and i am giving him a bottle because he wont stop crying and keeps opening his mouth and moving when i put my finger by his mouth. Ive fed him three times in the last hour, it seems like hes not getting full. Why could this be. I have plenty of milk because i pump a lot of milk out. I also pumped twice today so im thinking maybe i dont have enough milk in there afer, but i usually have more after two hours, so i should have had enough to feed him.

I'm always puzzled by this. We know gasoline is precious and limited, whereas water is semi-precious and reuseable. Yet it matters to save water or else in the future we may have shortages due to population growth, or global warming.

So if water is sort-of-precious and must be saved, why are home and residential distribution systems so that we drink the same water as we use to water the garden or to take a bath (grey water)? Shouldn't houses have TWO grades of water ie two parallel plumbing systems?
Adding the 'grey pipe' on older houses seems kind of late to do cost-effectively now, but can we still do this on newer houses? Would it be worth? Imagine how cheaper it is for a plant to produce grey water, very little filtering needed.
Am I the first one to think about this?...

I'm 63 and in poor health and probably will live another 4 or 5 years. Lets say i die in 2012. Lets say in 2012 you will be 20 yrs. old and probably will live to be one hundred. So there will be about 80 yrs. that you will see and experience things i never will. Well, at least i was around long enough to see the internet, cell phone, and camcorder. What will your eyes see that mine never will? If you wish, include where you think will be in space exploration also. Hope one of them is bring back the dead. Ha

I’ve always wanted to learn to scuba dive, because I love to explore new and exciting places. Ever since I was a little girl, the ocean has fascinated me. I used to sit on the beach and watch the minnows dart about in the ocean, wishing I could be with them discovering the mysteries of the deep blue. Last summer, I snorkeled for the first time and loved it. I explored the reefs of the Florida Keys and got to see the colorful underwater world I often dreamed about, but had only ever seen in books and at the aquarium. I fell in love with the bright neon colors of the tropical fish, and the graceful dolphins that played in the surf. I was envious of the scuba divers who could dive down very deep and peer in dark holes, never needing to surface for breath. Right then and there, I promised myself I would learn to scuba one day. I knew that eventually I would be among those scuba divers exploring the deepest reefs and trenches. That was my dream, and I know that one day it will come true.

My breastfed baby is backed up. She is frantic, now that it's night and the doctor's office closed. That seems to be how it works with young ones, they aren't "sick" until "after-hours". Anyway, of course I know, breastfed babies can go days without a bowel movement. But, what can I do to help her through the pain she's in? And of course, I'll be calling her DR. tomorrow morning when his office is open. Please experienced parents of breastfed babies. Thank you in advance. :)

Is this a dangerous blow to the overall Republicans' race to the Whitehouse?
Does anyone think it will have a major impact on the next election, or that these groups will change their minds and vote for a republican anyway?
