I am heading to Marine Corps Recruiter School on Oct 31st and have a few questions for any of those with experience.

What are some things you wish someone would have told you about before going to the school that would have prepared you/made the experience better there?

Also, how far is MCRD from the airport in San Diego (Lindbergh Intl.)

How long was the typical training day?

One more thing, what is one thing you wish you would have taken with you that is not on the gear list.

Thanks in advance to anyone with advice/input on this!! I have some SNCOs in my unit who were recruiters, but they went to the school awhile ago, so things could have changed.

The ten commandments say's:
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Isn't Jesus idolized by Christians and non Christians alike? Many non Christians, non church visiting people, such as someone in into the Goth fad, wear crosses, have images of Jesus, etc...
I don't understand why Christians do? Are Christians putting Jesus before God?

A cross of Jesus in a church is visualized before God, is this not a symbol ? A cruxification of Christ.
Why doesn't Christians worship, Jesus the same way they worship God, spiritually, without the symbols & idolization ? Statues, crosses, cruxification statues, etc...

If Jesus died for the sins of all humans, then why do Christians continue to idolize him, and continue to sin, doesn't make sense. Shouldn't Christians be setting examples.
Not all Christians and churces do this, but majority of them do

i live in an old victorian house converted into flats, my front door has 2 normal hinges and a small chain halfway down going from the doorframe into the door, how do i take it off so i can put it back on again??

... I asked here on Y/A if, when a case becomes too high profile, governments intervene and 'close' the case down.
Look at the link below and tell if you believe, as I do, that the reasons that Portuguese Judge, out of the blue, by refusing to order the McCanns to return to Portugal, did in effect remove all chances of the McCanns facing trial. While the monks in Burma fight for democracy, the government here is planning to intercept our phone calls and listen in on our mobiles. Me and my wife have had our ups and downs like everyone else, but she thinks being bipolar is just my excuse to act the way I do.She feels if I would just try harder everything would be roses.It's really frustrating because I get discouraged and want to just give up! I try to get on track with meds and all but she is constantly on my back to the point I feel if the meds aren't working well enough to satisfy her why bother?
